North Bergen Logo Design

Nearly every new North Bergen company realizes that they need a logo, yet few new business owners entirely grasp the key role their company logo can play in their financial success, or exactly why one logo design performs more effectively than another. A company logo has a critical and long-term impact on the prosperity of a business, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help North Bergen companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand scrutiny, they can be understood in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bike created for a North Bergen coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening up in an old section of the town and wanted to visualize an old-fashioned atmosphere without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled both of these jobs via designing a custom logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs designed for North Bergen clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that investigates the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the clinical examination of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I remember where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Generally I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping environment-friendly frog developed for a family members fun facility in North Bergen.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - made for North Bergen travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead convey emotional experiences by means of the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they often tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  North Bergen logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

North Bergen logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design projects that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but my customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his aversion for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to talk about it with friends and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased opinions on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their logo recognize how crucial a logo is for their organization so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo project has it’s allotment of challenges, however the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for North Bergen publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, however it really is the most necessary part of a published book due to the fact that it is usually the first thing a person sees in the book shop. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will ever have to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it seems like that in many occurrences 1 of the things individuals tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young start-up commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a good sense of airline flight and it was definitely a success.

North Bergen logo style utilized for advertising and a label layout for Vintage Case features an old typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be antique cases. For this brand concept I tried to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in North Bergen, layout include an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects due to the fact that it seems that each and every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really love doing dental care business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family members nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that describes itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo layout created for a hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo that projected an atmosphere of tranquility and connection for their new hair studio. I created a design that did not go the obvious path of crafting merely a stylized orchid but rather created a logo design which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is oftentimes the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the attention on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Logo layout for a software developer the design features and also famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism behind a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

A logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly recognized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to sell their pre-owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I created their North Bergen logo design dsign using an illustration which seizes the attention of vehicles and projects an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t really designed for an North Bergen regional farm it was in reality devised for a commodities broker, and this particular logo design was one of several that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to generate a graphic that projects self-assurance, success, and prosperity.
Logo design made for the use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is similar to a well-known sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked directly with the owner to create a business logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
