Palisades Park Logo Design

Every new Palisades Park venture realizes that they need a logo, however few new business owners entirely comprehend the essential role their logo design can make in their financial success, or why one logo functions better than another. A logo design has an immediate and lasting effect on the prosperity of a company, select the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Palisades Park businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require contemplation, they can be understood in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will be legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Palisades Park coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening in an older section of the area and really wanted to visualize an old-fashioned feel without coming across as boring or low energy. I accomplished the two jobs by means of developing a business logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide as well as germs designed for Palisades Park medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that researches the causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that works with the laboratory evaluation of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I recollect in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Normally I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more focus grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo style with a leaping green frog designed for a family fun facility in Palisades Park.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - developed for Palisades Park traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead convey emotional experiences by means of the images they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they often share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Palisades Park logo design but also to reveal the depth to her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Palisades Park logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design jobs that I take on I really relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family did not share his scorn for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get impartial opinions on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they really loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo design recognize how essential a logo design is for their business so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo design project has it’s share of obstacles, but the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Palisades Park publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most critical part of a printed book considering that it is often the primary thing a person sees in the book shop. For a publisher, it’s the opportunity that they will ever get to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it seems like that in many cases one of the items folks tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a feeling of air travel and it was surely a winner.

Palisades Park logo design used for marketing and a label layout for Vintage Situation features an antiquated font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Palisades Park, design consist of an arc with lines converging via it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs considering that it seems that every single dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I actually love doing dental logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a household not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters surprised in height to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain precisely how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that explains itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair style workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo which conveyed a sense of peace and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious path of crafting simply a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo design which suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is usually the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the attention on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Las Cafe logo layout a little dining establishment, design contains a customized script font which floats above a team of luxuriant lines and dots.

Logo layout for a software programmer the layout features and also renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive operations. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

Advance logo style created for a Palisades Park indoor designer, style function a collection of red circles that converge as well as replace the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

logo style done for Advanced Leadership Solutions, the characters for letter V as well as A in middle of words advanced have been customized to connect directly into words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

A logo layout including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly knew the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a place to market their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Palisades Park logo design dsign along with a graphic which garners the interest of traffic and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t really designed for an Palisades Park regional farm it was in reality designed for a products broker, and this particular logo was one of many that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to design a graphic that projects esteem, effectiveness, and affluence.
Logo created for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font style that is reminiscent of a renowned sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked closely with the proprietor to produce a logo design which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
