Rahway Logo Design

Virtually every new Rahway business realizes that they need a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly understand the key role their logo design can take in their financial success, or the reason that one logo functions better than another. A company logo has a critical and lasting effect on the prosperity of a company, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Rahway companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand deliberation, they can be realized in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will stay legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bicycle produced for a Rahway coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee bar were launching in an old section of the community and wanted to visualize an old-fashioned atmosphere without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished both jobs via developing a custom logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and bacteria designed for Rahway medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which examines the root causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the clinical examination of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I remember where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more focus grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping environment-friendly frog created for a family fun center in Rahway.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - made for Rahway traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead communicate emotional journeys by means of the images they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I tried to do something similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Rahway logo but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Rahway logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however my client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his scorn for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced assessments on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their business logo comprehend how vital a logo is for their organization so they are much more vested in the outcome. Every logo design job possesses it’s share of difficulties, however the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Rahway book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, but it is the most vital part of a printed book due to the fact that it is in most cases the initial thing a person sees in the book shop. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever get to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it seems like that in many instances one of the things folks tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a good sense of flight and it was definitely a success.

Rahway logo layout used for marketing and also a label design for Vintage Instance features an old-fashioned typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this business logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Rahway, layout include an arc with lines converging via it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects due to the fact that it appears that every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dental logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters staggered in elevation to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to describe precisely how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo style produced for a hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo that conveyed a feeling of tranquility and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious path of crafting just a stylized orchid but rather delivered a business logo which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is generally the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the emphasis on the emotion that they wanted to project to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software programmer the style attributes and famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

A logo design including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly recognized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a spot to sell their previously owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Rahway business logo dsign along with an illustration which garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo layout has an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem concept wasn’t really developed for an Rahway regional farm it was in reality created for an investments broker, and this company was one of many which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to produce a image that projects esteem, effectiveness, and wealth.
Logo design made for making use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is similar to a renowned sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked closely with the proprietor to create a logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
