STRATEGIES FOR CHOOSING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo is an investment in both your time and your money so anytime a design company presents a money back guarantee try to keep in mind that they can not reimburse the time you invest which is eminently more valuable than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Some designers talk a good game but ultimately a designer can only be judged by the quality of their design work, if the work in their design portfolio does not contain actual examples chances are they will not be able to deliver a premium logo design.

VISION

A logo’s objective is to be recognized and be unforgettable, and it’s goal is to reflect your personal vision for your business. If a logo designer is not focused on realizing your vision, the thing they are actually focused on is how fast they can get paid.

Sicklerville LOGO DESIGN

For over 2 decades ImageCo has been helping businesses of all kinds grow notable brands. We have undertaken logo design work for mechanics, universities, heart surgeons, party planners, restaurants, retailers, and virtually every other kind of business concern you can envision. What makes ImageCo unique compared to our competitors is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we approach every brand identity project as though it will be utilized as an electrical sign. As a result of our sign first strategy our identity designs can, and have been utilized in everything from clothing labels to electrical signs. Our sign first method ensures that our logo designs are equally effective whether they are used in TV commercials or website headers, they are consistently recognizable, understood, and remembered regardless of scale or application.

American Made ★ Design

The one difference which truly sets ImageCo apart from many of the design agencies that you might have come across online, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that each and every design project we are retained to perform, we do ourselves. No matter the type of design project we take on, logo design, web page, trade show exhibition, or electrical sign, we do not, and never will farm-out our customer’s projects to contractors located outside the USA. When you call us at 1-855-IMAGECO the individual that answers the phone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a middleman that increases the price of your design project and imposes the conditions of how you and I conduct business.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A POWERFUL LOGO DESIGN

Nearly every new Sicklerville company knows they require a logo, however few start-ups entirely recognize the pivotal role their logo design will perform in their success, or why one logo performs better than another. A logo design has a critical and long-term impact on the growth of a business, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Sicklerville businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require deliberation, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will remain legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos which operate on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel exclusive, and they are suitable for the item or company they brand.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be ageless and should feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

understanding branding

Brand – It is a verb and also a noun, it’s an identifying mark and the process of marking something so that it could be distinguished, its genesis comes from the brand burned onto animals. Nowadays a brand signifies pretty much anything with a motive, regardless if it be earnings or politics, a brand is an intrinsic aspect of defining the value of something in the customer’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like advertising and marketing’s attractive cousin, they are each from the exact same family, the distinction being that advertising and marketing are about making a promise and branding’s objective is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a strategic popularity competition directed at a target audience, it’s objective is to produce an image that the audience can relate to.

Brand Image – An image planted and cultivated through advertising and marketing as well as identity design. When someone mentions the brand names Porsche or Mustang what we think about is their brand image, it’s an image that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of an automobile with 4 wheels that can move us from point A to point B, the the mental image we have (or at least I have) is of speed, elegance, of something dangerous and sexy . That is brand image and that is what makes individuals want those brands. Brand image is why individuals get specific brands, from Nike to Adidas Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that people can relate to.

Branding Companies – If you look back at the origin of most branding agencies you’ll discover that they are quite often re-branded advertising and marketing companies. When a person says they are in marketing many people will likely have an idea about the type of work they do anything that can be seen, felt or heard belong to a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designer
– A brand identity designer is a designer that focuses on a kind of visual design which helps form the public image of a company, a product or an organization. Brand identity designers develop logo designs, signage designs, product packaging, and also collateral products such as cards, stationery, as well as sales brochures. Some identity designers also build websites and user interfaces. The vital function of a brand identity designer is to establish the visual cues and an emotional tone with the goal of affecting activities, outcomes and assumptions.

select logos & signs

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a Sicklerville coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually launching in an old part of the community and wanted to project a retro atmosphere without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled the two tasks by developing a business logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide and also bacteria developed for Sicklerville clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that studies the triggers and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that works with the clinical examination of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the only instance I recollect in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and much more memorable.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog developed for a family members fun center in Sicklerville.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Sicklerville travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead convey emotional experiences by means of the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something very similar to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Sicklerville logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Sicklerville logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I honestly savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however the customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get neutral opinions on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they really loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their logo design realize how crucial a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo project has it’s allotment of challenges, but the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Sicklerville book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, however it is the most crucial part of a printed book because it is often the initial thing a person views in the book store. With regard to a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will ever get to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart yet it seems like that in many occurrences one of the things individuals often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a spirit of air travel and it was surely a victory.

Sicklerville logo design used for advertising and also a tag design for Vintage Case includes an archaic typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be older cases. For this logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Sicklerville, layout include an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs due to the fact that it appears that each and every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental practices do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dental business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a household not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters staggered in elevation to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to describe specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style created for a Sicklerville hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a company logo that conveyed a spirit of calmness and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious path of designing just a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a logo design which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is frequently the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the attention on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their customers.

Arabian steed logo design developed for a steed ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted a unique business logo design tailored to embody the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of horses. With a different head form and higher tail posture, the Arabian is one of the most immediately identifiable horse lineages in the whole world.

Las Cafe, A Sicklerville restaurant logo layout a little restaurant, layout contains a customized script font style which hovers above a group of elaborate lines and also dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo style a tiny restaurant, style consists of a customized manuscript font style which hovers above a group of luxuriant lines and also dots.

Logo layout for a software program designer the style attributes and renowned Sicklerville element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the meaning behind a logo is just as important as how it serves the organization it represents.

Evolve logo style produced for a Sicklervilleinterior designer, style attribute a series of red circles that intersect and also replace the letter O in the middle of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Sicklerville interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is an individual who plans, researches, collaborates, and manages such ventures. Interior design is a multifaceted profession that involves conceptual development, space planning, location inspections, programming, investigation, communicating with the stakeholders of a project, construction supervision, and implementation of the design.

logo style provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Sicklerville, the characters for letter V and A in center of the word advanced have been customized to connect directly right into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Sicklerville logo design job was done for a leadership specialist that assists business leaders to develop into more successful at supervising people, expectations, and productivity.

A Sicklerville business logo design including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to market their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts.

I tailored their Sicklerville logo design design along with an illustration that seizes the attention of vehicles and sends an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.

Logo layout MQ ranches, this Sicklerville company logo layout has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t actually developed for an Sicklerville area farm it was actually devised for a commodities broker, and this brand was one of several which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to create a brand mark that projects esteem, effectiveness, and affluence.

Sicklerville Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo design feature for externally encountering arrowhead and also the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design they wanted, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the liberty to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye in the absence of realizing where the target is. Luckily, in this case, I hit a bullseye with the 1st shot.

Logo design developed for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font style that is reminiscent of a renowned Sicklerville sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked closely with the business owner to develop a business logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
