POINTERS FOR PICKING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo design is an investment in both your time and your money so whenever a design agency offers a money back guarantee try to remember that they can’t reimburse the amount of time you invest which is eminently more precious than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Many designers talk a good game but inevitably a design agency can only be judged from the quality of their design work, if the work in their design portfolio does not contain real life examples chances are they will not be able to produce a premium logo design.

VISION

A logo’s objective is to be recognized and be unforgettable, and it’s purpose is to mirror your personal vision for your company. If a logo designer isn’t focused on actualizing your vision, the thing they are really focused on is how fast they will get paid.

Teaneck LOGO DESIGN

For over 2 decades ImageCo has been helping business owners establish memorable brands. We have performed logo design work for builders, educational institutions, diamond miners, wedding singers, diners, retail stores, and virtually every other kind of business you can think of. What makes ImageCo unique compared to typical graphic designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every design as though it will be employed as an electrical sign. Because of our sign first strategy our designs can, and have been utilized in everything from clothing labels to billboards. Our sign first method guarantees that our logos are just as reliable whether they are used in television commercials or website applications, they are consistently recognizable, understood, and remembered irrespective of size or use.

American Made ★ Design

Something that seriously sets ImageCo apart from other design companies that you may have encountered on-line, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that absolutely every project we are enlisted to do, we perform in-house. No matter the type of project we accept, brand identity design, business website, trade show exhibit, or electric sign, we do not, and never will farm out our customer’s work to companies located outside the US. Whenever you call us at 1-855-IMAGECO the person that answers the phone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a go-between that increases the price of your design project and determines the conditions of how we conduct business.

ASPECTS OF AN EFFECTIVE LOGO DESIGN

Nearly every new Teaneck business understands that they require a logo, however few new business owners fully recognize the pivotal role their company logo can play in their financial success, or the reason that one business logo works far better than another. A business logo has an immediate and long-term influence on the viability of a business, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Teaneck companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not need deliberation, they can be comprehended in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from clothing labels to billboards a scalable logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel right, and they are suitable for the product or business they brand.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be ageless and will feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

understand your brand

Brand – It is both a verb and a noun, it is an identifying mark and the process of denoting something to make sure that it could be identified, its origin comes from the mark branded onto animals. These days a brand symbolizes pretty much anything with an objective, regardless of whether it be profit or government agencies, a brand is an intrinsic aspect of specifying the worth of a specific thing in the public’s mind.

Branding – Is sort of like advertising and marketing’s attractive sister, they are all from the same family, the distinction being that advertising and marketing have to do with making a promise and branding’s objective is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity contest directed at a target audience, it’s goal is to develop a mental image that the target market will relate to.

Brand Image – An image planted and nurtured by advertising and marketing and also identity design. When someone states the names Ferrari or Corvette what we consider is their brand image, it’s an image that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a car with 4 wheels that can transport us from point A to point B, the the mental image we have (or at least I have) is of freedom, elegance, of something dangerous and unique . That is brand image and that is what makes individuals purchase those products. Brand image is why people acquire specific brands, from Nike to Adidas Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that we can relate to.

Branding Agencies – If you look back at the origin of a lot of branding firms you’ll discover that they are quite often rebranded marketing agencies. When somebody claims they are in marketing many people will likely have an idea about the type of work they do anything that can be seen, felt or heard belong to a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designer
– A brand identity designer is a graphic designer that concentrates on a kind of visual design that helps shape the public image of a business, a product or a business organization. Brand identity designers develop logo designs, signage designs, product packaging, and collateral products such as business cards, stationery, and sales brochures. Some identity designers also design web sites and also user interfaces. The vital function of a brand identity designer is to create the visual cues and a psychological tone with the objective of influencing activities, end results as well as perceptions.

Featured SIGNS & LOGOS

Retro logo layout of a bicycle developed for a Teaneck coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually launching in an older part of the area and wanted to cast an old-fashioned vibe without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished each of the tasks via creating a trademark design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria made for Teaneck medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that analyzes the triggers and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which works with the clinical examination of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I remember where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Normally I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves rather literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more captivating, more interest grabbing and even more memorable.

logo design with a leaping eco-friendly frog made for a family members fun facility in Teaneck.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dentists, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - made for Teaneck traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather reveal emotional journeys through the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with just words. I tried to do something similar to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Teaneck logo but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Teaneck logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but the client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his contempt for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial judgements on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their logo design realize how essential a logo design is for their business so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo job has it’s share of difficulties, but the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Teaneck book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, yet it is the most essential part of a published book due to the fact that it is usually the very first thing a person sees in the book store. For a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will likely ever have to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it looks like that in many occurrences one of the traits individuals tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest start-up commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a good sense of air travel and it was definitely a success.

Teaneck logo design made use of for marketing as well as a tag design for Vintage Case features an old font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be antique cases. For this business logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Teaneck, style include an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects considering that it appears that every single dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental professionals do every one of their logo designs would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I actually love doing dental care business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities startled in elevation to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that describes itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo style produced for a Teaneck hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo which conveyed a spirit of simplicity and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious direction of designing simply a stylized orchid but instead crafted a business logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is generally the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the importance on the feeling that they really wanted to project to their customers.

Arabian horse logo layout produced for an equine ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a one-of-a-kind logo design customized to display the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of equines. By having an identifiable head shape and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the highly immediately recognizable equine types in the world.

Las Cafe, A Teaneck Coffee shop logo layout a small dining establishment, style consists of a modified script typeface which floats over a group of ornate lines and also dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo style a small dining establishment, design consists of a customized script font style which hovers over a team of luxuriant lines and also dots.

Logo design for a software developer the design features and renowned Teaneck aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive managing. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge in between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the business it stands for.

Evolve logo layout created for a Teaneckinterior developer, style function a collection of red circles that intersect and also replace the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Teaneck interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is someone who arranges, explores, coordinates, and oversees such projects. Interior design is a multifaceted profession that involves conceptual development, area planning, location evaluations, programming, research study, communicating with the stakeholders of a project, construction supervision, and implementation of the design.

logo style done for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Teaneck, the characters for letter V and A in center of the word advanced have actually been customized to tie straight into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Teaneck logo design project was undertaken for a management expert that enables business professionals to develop into more successful at supervising people, expectations, and productivity.

A Teaneck business logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to sell their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts.

I created their Teaneck logo design along with an illustration which garners the interest of traffic and projects an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.

Logo layout MQ ranches, this Teaneck company logo style has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem design wasn’t actually designed for an Teaneck area farm it was in reality created for a products broker, and this creative logo was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to design a image that projects confidence, success, and wealth.

Teaneck Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo layout function for ostensibly dealing with arrow and also the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what kind of logo design they wanted, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the freedom to explore any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye without realizing where exactly the target is. Luckily, in this case, I struck a bullseye with the 1st try.

Logo design created for making use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font that is similar to a famous Teaneck sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked directly with the owner to develop a business logo which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
