West New York Logo Design

Each and every new West New York business understands that they are in need of a logo, however few new business owners fully realize the crucial role their logo can perform in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo design performs better than another. A company logo has a critical and lasting influence on the financial success of a company, pick the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help West New York businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require contemplation, they can be understood in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will be legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a West New York coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were opening in an older section of the area and wished to cast a vintage feel without appearing as boring or low energy. I fulfilled both of these tasks by designing a logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria created for West New York medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the root causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that deals with the laboratory assessment of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I call to mind in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Normally I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves quite literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more attention grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping environment-friendly frog made for a household enjoyable center in West New York.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental professionals, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - made for West New York travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead communicate emotional experiences through the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they often tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  West New York logo but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

West New York logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design projects that I take on I truly relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but my client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family did not share his hatred for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral judgements on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their logo recognize how crucial a logo design is for their organization so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo job has it’s share of challenges, however the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for West New York book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, but it really is the most important part of a published book given that it is usually the first thing a person views in the bookstore. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will likely ever get to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it seems like that in many instances one of the aspects folks usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a good sense of flight and it was undoubtedly a success.

West New York logo layout utilized for advertising and marketing and also a tag style for Vintage Situation includes an old typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be antique cases. For this business logo design I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in West New York, design include an arc with lines converging via it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo design jobs considering that it appears that every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I actually love doing dentist logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 characters startled in height to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to summarize how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that explains itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a hair design studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo which conveyed a spirit of relaxation and class for their new hair studio. I created a design which did not go the obvious route of creating merely a stylized orchid but rather delivered a logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is more often than not the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the main focus on the perception that they really wanted to project to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software program developer the layout features and also iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the meaning supporting a logo is just as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

A logo style featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly realized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to market their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their West New York logo design dsign using an image that seizes the attention of traffic and projects an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo design has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo concept wasn’t really composed for an West New York area farm it was really developed for a commodities broker, and this particular trademark was one of many that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to make a graphic that projected self-assurance, effectiveness, and luxury.
Logo design made for making use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font style that is reminiscent of a renowned sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the owner to produce a business logo which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
