Woodbridge Logo Design

Nearly every new Woodbridge company realizes that they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs thoroughly recognize the pivotal role their logo can make in their success, or the reason that one business logo performs better than another. A logo design has an instant and long-term influence on the growth of a business, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Woodbridge companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand deliberation, they can be comprehended in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a Woodbridge coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually launching in an older section of the city and hoped to project an old-fashioned tone without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs by means of creating a business logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and germs developed for Woodbridge clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that investigates the triggers and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which deals with the laboratory examination of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the only instance I call to mind where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves quite literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping environment-friendly frog created for a family enjoyable center in Woodbridge.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Woodbridge travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather project emotional experiences by means of the photos they record. The thought behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Woodbridge logo but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Woodbridge logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but the client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his aversion for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to share it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get neutral opinions on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they really loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their logo design comprehend how crucial a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo job has it’s portion of difficulties, but the greatest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Woodbridge book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, yet it is the most necessary part of a printed book because it is ordinarily the very first thing a person sees in the bookstore. Regarding a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever get to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart yet it seems like that in many instances 1 of the things consumers usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a good sense of flight and it was definitely a success.

Woodbridge logo layout made use of for marketing and a tag style for Vintage Instance includes an archaic font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be antique cases. For this brand concept I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be utilized for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Woodbridge, style include an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it appears that virtually every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practices do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really enjoy doing dentistry business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family members nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities staggered in elevation to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to describe precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that describes itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design developed for a hair design studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo that related a feeling of simplicity and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a concept which did not go the obvious path of crafting simply a stylized orchid but instead delivered a business logo which implied a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is oftentimes the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the emphasis on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Logo layout for a software developer the design features and also renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the business it represents.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly realized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a location to sell their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Woodbridge logo design dsign along with an illustration that seizes the attention of traffic and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo style has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand idea wasn’t really developed for an Woodbridge regional farm it was really developed for an investments broker, and this particular creative logo was one of a handful of that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to make an identity that projects trust, effectiveness, and affluence.
Logo designed for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is reminiscent of a well-known sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked directly with the owner to develop a logo design that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
