Alamogordo, New Mexico Logo Design

Nearly every new Alamogordo company realizes that they require a logo, but few new business owners entirely comprehend the key role their organization logo can make in their success, or exactly why one business logo works far better than another. A logo design has a critical and lasting effect on the growth of a company, pick the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a company.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Alamogordo, New Mexico companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require deliberation, they can be realized in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will be legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Alamogordo, New Mexico coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening up in an older section of the town and really wanted to cast a retro feel without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished the two jobs by means of designing a business logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and bacteria designed for Alamogordo, New Mexico clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that examines the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which works with the laboratory assessment of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and more memorable.

logo style with a leaping green frog created for a household fun facility in Alamogordo, New Mexico.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Alamogordo, New Mexico travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather project emotional journeys through the images they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Alamogordo logo but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Alamogordo logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I honestly savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but the client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family did not share his hatred for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get neutral point of views on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to create their business logo understand how important a logo design is for their business so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo design job possesses it’s share of difficulties, however the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Alamogordo, New Mexico book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, however it is the most vital part of a printed book given that it is ordinarily the primary thing a person views in the book shop. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever get to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it seems that in many occurrences one of the traits people tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to confering a spirit of flight and it was definitely a success.

Alamogordo logo layout used for marketing and also a label layout for Vintage Case features an old typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, that looked to be antique cases. For this logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different generation.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Alamogordo, New Mexico, design include an arc with lines converging with it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that each and every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really enjoy doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters staggered in elevation to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to describe exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo layout created for a hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo that carried a spirit of serenity and class for their new hair salon. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious course of designing simply a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo design that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is frequently the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the focus on the emotion that they really wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Arabian equine logo design developed for an equine ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a distinct brand design styled to illustrate the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of horses. With a different head form and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the highly immediately identifiable horse breeds in the whole world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo style a small restaurant, layout contains a changed manuscript font which hovers over a group of luxuriant lines and dots.

Logo style for a software program developer the design functions and renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive managing. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the owner of the company and in many cases the meaning supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a location to sell off their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Alamogordo logo dsign using an illustration that grabs the attention of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem concept wasn’t really designed for an Alamogordo, New Mexico area farm it was actually developed for an investments broker, and this particular business logo was one of multiple which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to develop a graphic that projected trust, success, and luxury.

Alamogordo Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo layout feature for externally facing arrow and the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design that they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the freedom to explore any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye in the absence of understanding where the target is. Luckily, in this instance, I hit a bullseye with the 1st go.

Logo developed for the use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is similar to a famous sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked closely with the business owner to design a logo that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
