Carlsbad, New Mexico Logo Design

Every new Carlsbad venture understands that they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs fully are aware of the pivotal role their company logo will perform in their becoming successful, or the reason that one business logo performs better than another. A logo has a critical and sustaining influence on the financial success of a company, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a company.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Carlsbad, New Mexico businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand deliberation, they can be realized in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will be legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Carlsbad, New Mexico coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening in an old part of the city and hoped to cast an old-fashioned tone without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled the two jobs by creating a business logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and bacteria created for Carlsbad, New Mexico clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that examines the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which works with the laboratory evaluation of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents very literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more appealing, more focus grabbing and more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping green frog developed for a family enjoyable facility in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Carlsbad, New Mexico travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather communicate emotional experiences by means of the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Carlsbad logo but also to illustrate the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Carlsbad logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design projects that I take on I genuinely relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but my client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his contempt for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to share it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get impartial point of views on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their business logo comprehend how important a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo project has it’s share of obstacles, however the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for Carlsbad, New Mexico publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most essential part of a published book due to the fact that it is in most cases the primary thing a person views in the book shop. For a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever have to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it seems that in many instances 1 of the traits individuals tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest fledgling commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a good sense of flight and it was definitely a victory.

Carlsbad logo layout utilized for marketing and also a label layout for Vintage Situation features an old-fashioned font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be vintage cases. For this business logo design I strove to come up with a logo that had a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different era.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Carlsbad, New Mexico, style include an arc with lines converging with it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects because it appears that each and every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually really love doing dentist logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities startled in elevation to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to illustrate precisely how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a hair design workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a company logo which projected a sense of simplicity and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious route of creating merely a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a business logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is oftentimes the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the emphasis on the feeling that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Logo style for a software programmer the layout functions and also legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the significance supporting a logo is equally as important as how it brands the business it stands for.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Carlsbad, New Mexico logo design job was carried out for a leadership expert that helps business professionals to become more effective at managing people, expectations, and profitability.
A logo layout including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly knew the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to sell their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Carlsbad logo design dsign with a graphic that garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand idea wasn’t actually composed for an Carlsbad, New Mexico area farm it was in reality designed for an investments broker, and this particular brand was one of multiple that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to make a brand mark that projected self-assurance, financial success, and opulence.

Carlsbad Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo design function for ostensibly encountering arrowhead and the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design that they wanted, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the liberty to explore any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without recognizing where the target is. Luckily, in this instance, I nailed a bullseye with the 1st try.

Logo created for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is evocative a well-known sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted quite a lot of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked directly with the owner to design a logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
