POINTERS FOR IDENTIFYING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo is an investment in both your time and your money so anytime a design agency presents a money back guarantee try to keep in mind that they simply cannot refund the time you commit which is much more valuable than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Many design firms talk a good game but ultimately a designer can only be determined from the quality of their portfolio, if the work in their design portfolio doesn’t feature actual examples chances are they will never be able to produce a premium logo design.

VISION

A logo’s goal is to be understood and be unforgettable, and it’s objective is to echo your personal vision for your company. If a logo designer is not focused on actualizing your vision, the thing they are actually focused on is how soon they will get paid.

Sunland Park LOGO DESIGN

For over 20 years ImageCo has been helping businesses of all kinds develop unforgettable brands. We have undertaken logo design work for farmers, educational institutions, diamond miners, wedding singers, coffee roasters, retail stores, and practically every other kind of business you can imagine. What makes ImageCo different compared to our competitors is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we approach every branding project as though it will be used as an electric sign. As a result of our sign first approach our designs can, and have been employed in everything from garment labels to billboards. Our sign first approach insures that our logos are equally effective whether they are used in TV commercials or web apps, they are consistently identifiable, understood, and always remembered regardless of scale or function.

American Made ★ Design

The thing which really sets ImageCo apart from other design companies that you might have stumbled upon in search results, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that each and every design project we are hired to perform, we do ourselves. Irrespective of the kind of project we take on, logo, website, trade show banners, or electrical sign, we do not, and never will job out our client’s projects to 3rd parties located outside the USA. Whenever you phone us at 1-855-IMAGECO the person that picks up the phone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a go-between that marks up the cost of your project and imposes the terms of how my customers and I do business.

ASPECTS OF A GOOD LOGO DESIGN

It’s likely that every new Sunland Park entrepreneur understands that they require a logo, however few start ups thoroughly comprehend the pivotal role their logo can perform in their success, or why one business logo functions more effectively than another. A logo design has an immediate and long-term influence on the growth of a company, pick the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Sunland Park businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require deliberation, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from clothing labels to store signs a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos which operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel right, and they are suitable for the product or business they brand.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be timeless and will feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

understanding branding

Brand – It is a verb as well as a noun, it is an identifying mark and the process of marking something to make sure that it can be identified, its origin originates from the mark branded onto animals. Today a brand indicates basically anything with an objective, regardless of whether it be earnings or politics, a brand is an innate aspect of specifying the worth of a specific thing in the consumer’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like advertising and marketing’s sexy cousin, they are all from the same family, the distinction being that advertising and marketing have to do with making a promise and branding’s goal is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity contest directed at a target audience, it’s objective is to produce an image that the target market will connect to.

Brand Image – An image planted and nurtured through advertising and marketing and identity design. When a person states the brand names Ferrari or Corvette what we consider is their brand image, it’s a picture that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a vehicle with 4 wheels that can move us from point A to point B, the image we have (or at least I have) is of freedom, elegance, of something dangerous and sexy . That is brand image and that is what makes individuals want those products. Brand image is why people buy most things, from Nike to Adidas Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that we can relate to.

Branding Firms – If you look back at the beginning of most branding agencies you’ll discover that they are frequently rebranded advertising agencies. When somebody states they are in advertising most individuals will likely have an idea about the type of work they do anything that can be seen, touched or listened to belong to a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designers
– A brand identity designer is a graphic designer that focuses on a kind of visual design which helps form the public image of a company, a product or a company. Brand identity designers produce logo designs, signage designs, product packaging, and collateral products such as cards, stationery, and also pamphlets. Some identity designers also build websites and also software interfaces. The crucial role of a brand identity designer is to develop the visual cues and a psychological tone with the objective of affecting activities, end results as well as assumptions.

select signs/logos

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Sunland Park coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffeehouse were launching in an old part of the area and wished to cast a nostalgic vibe without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs by designing a trademark design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria developed for Sunland Park medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that examines the triggers and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that works with the laboratory evaluation of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the only instance I call to mind where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves rather literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more focus grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo style with a jumping environment-friendly frog designed for a family fun center in Sunland Park.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Sunland Park traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead reveal emotional experiences through the pictures they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Sunland Park logo design but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Sunland Park logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design jobs that I take on I really savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family did not share his contempt for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to share it with friends and family members as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get objective viewpoints on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they really liked the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their logo realize how vital a logo design is for their business so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo job possesses it’s portion of challenges, but the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Sunland Park publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped piece of real estate to work with, however it really is the most necessary part of a printed book because it is in most cases the initial thing a person sees in the bookstore. Regarding a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will likely ever have to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the aspects individuals usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young start-up commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a feeling of airline flight and it was definitely a winner.

Sunland Park logo design used for advertising and a label layout for Vintage Instance features an archaic typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be older cases. For this brand design I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a website to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Sunland Park, design consist of an arc with lines converging via it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects due to the fact that it seems that every single dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental practices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dental logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters surprised in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to describe exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that describes itself won’t have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo style developed for a Sunland Park hair layout workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo that related an atmosphere of peace and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious path of designing merely a stylized orchid but instead delivered a business logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is more often than not the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the emphasis on the emotion that they wanted to project to their customers.

Arabian horse logo style created for a steed ranch that specializes in reproducing Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a distinct company logo design fashioned to embody the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of horses. With an unique head shape and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most easily recognizable horse types in the world.

Las Cafe, A Sunland Park restaurant logo style a little dining establishment, design contains a modified manuscript typeface which hovers above a team of luxuriant lines and dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo style a little restaurant, layout consists of a customized script font which floats over a team of elaborate lines and also dots.

Logo style for a software designer the design attributes as well as famous Sunland Park component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

Advance logo style produced for a Sunland Parkindoor designer, design function a series of red circles that intersect and change the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Sunland Park interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is a professional who plans, researches, coordinates, and oversees such tasks. Interior design is a diverse occupation that involves conceptual development, area planning, location examinations, programming, study, communicating with the stakeholders of a project, building and construction supervision, and execution of the design.

logo style done for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Sunland Park, the personalities for letter V as well as A in middle of words progressed have been changed to link directly right into words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Sunland Park logo design job was performed for a leadership expert that aids business leaders to develop into more successful at managing people, expectations, and productivity.

A Sunland Park business logo design including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly recognized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to sell their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts.

I designed their Sunland Park business logo design along with a graphic that garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.

Logo layout MQ ranches, this Sunland Park company logo layout has an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand design wasn’t really produced for an Sunland Park area farm it was actually devised for an investments broker, and this company logo was one of a handful of that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to generate an identity that projected trust, financial success, and prosperity.

Sunland Park Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo style function for externally facing arrowhead and the arrowheads imply that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design that they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the liberty to explore any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye in the absence of knowing where the target is. Thankfully, in this instance, I hit a bullseye with the very first shot.

Logo design designed for the use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font that is similar to a popular Sunland Park sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked closely with the business owner to design a logo which worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
