Baldwin, New York Logo Design

Each and every new Baldwin organization understands that they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly recognize the vital role their organization’s logo will perform in their success, or why one logo performs more effectively than another. A logo design has a critical and long-term impact on the growth of a business, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of a business.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Baldwin, New York companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand contemplation, they can be comprehended in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from labels to posters a scalable logo will remain legible and equally emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be enduring and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.
Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a Baldwin, New York coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually launching in an older section of town and really wanted to impart an old-fashioned tone without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled both jobs by means of designing a trademark design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and germs designed for Baldwin, New York medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that investigates the root causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which deals with the clinical evaluation of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more captivating, more attention grabbing and more memorable.

logo style with a jumping environment-friendly frog designed for a household enjoyable facility in Baldwin, New York.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a flock of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Baldwin, New York travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but rather communicate emotional journeys by means of the images they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they often tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Baldwin logo design but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Baldwin logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I genuinely take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his aversion for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced judgements on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really liked the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo understand how essential a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo job has it’s share of obstacles, but the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Baldwin, New York book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most essential part of a printed book considering that it is ordinarily the initial thing a person sees in the book store. For a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will likely ever get to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart yet it seems like that in many occurrences 1 of the things people tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a feeling of air travel and it was surely a success.

Baldwin logo layout used for marketing and also a label design for Vintage Case features an archaic typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be antique cases. For this custom logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another generation.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Baldwin, New York, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo design jobs because it seems that virtually every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dentists do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dental care logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities surprised in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to illustrate specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that describes itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo design that carried a sense of simplicity and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious direction of crafting simply a stylized orchid but alternatively created a company logo which suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is generally the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the main focus on the feeling that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo layout for a software designer the design attributes and also legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the significance behind a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a spot to market their used items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Baldwin business logo dsign utilizing a graphic which captures the attention of vehicles and projects an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo style has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t actually produced for an Baldwin, New York area farm it was actually devised for an investments broker, and this logo design was one of a handful of which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to design an identity that projects assurance, effectiveness, and prosperity.

Baldwin Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo design function for externally dealing with arrowhead and also the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design that they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the liberty to explore any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without recognizing where the target is. Luckily, in this instance, I struck a bullseye with the 1st shot.

Logo designed for the use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is reminiscent of a renowned sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed loads of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked closely with the business owner to design a business logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
