Brooklyn Heights Logo Design

Nearly every new Brooklyn Heights venture realizes that they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely comprehend the vital role their organization logo can make in their financial success, or exactly why one logo performs better than another. A logo design has an instant and long-term influence on the growth of a company, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Brooklyn Heights companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require contemplation, they can be realized in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will be legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Brooklyn Heights coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee shop were launching in an old part of the town and wanted to project an old-fashioned feel without coming across as boring or low energy. I achieved both tasks by means of creating a business logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and bacteria developed for Brooklyn Heights medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that investigates the root causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the clinical evaluation of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more captivating, more attention grabbing and even more memorable.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog created for a family fun facility in Brooklyn Heights.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and a tree - developed for Brooklyn Heights traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead reveal emotional journeys through the images they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Brooklyn Heights logo design but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Brooklyn Heights logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design jobs that I take on I honestly relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but the client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his aversion for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased viewpoints on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to design their business logo comprehend how important a logo is for their business so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo design job has it’s allotment of challenges, however the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Brooklyn Heights book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, however it is the most vital part of a published book since it is in most cases the first thing a person sees in the bookstore. For a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will likely ever have to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it seems that in many cases 1 of the aspects people tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a sense of flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Brooklyn Heights logo style made use of for marketing and a label layout for Vintage Situation features an antiquated font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be antique cases. For this custom logo design I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Brooklyn Heights, style include an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs due to the fact that it appears that almost every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dental care logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to explain how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style produced for a hair design studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo that projected a sense of relaxation and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious route of crafting just a stylized orchid but rather delivered a business logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is in most cases the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the importance on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Arabian horse logo layout created for a steed cattle ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a distinct logo concept tailored to display the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of equines. With a different head form and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the highly easily recognizable horse breeds in the world.

Las Cafe logo style a little restaurant, layout consists of a modified script font which hovers over a group of luxuriant lines and also dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo style a tiny dining establishment, design consists of a modified script typeface which floats above a group of ornate lines as well as dots.

Logo layout for a software designer the layout functions and iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive managing. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism supporting a business logo is just as important as how it serves the enterprise it stands for.

Advance logo style developed for a Brooklyn Heights interior developer, layout feature a series of red circles that intersect and also change the letter O in the middle of the logo style.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Brooklyn Heights logo design assignment was done for a leadership specialist that helps business professionals to become more effective at supervising people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to sell off their pre-owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Brooklyn Heights logo dsign using an illustration that garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has actually an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t really composed for an Brooklyn Heights area farm it was in reality created for a commodities broker, and this particular logo design was one of several that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to develop a brand mark that projected assurance, success, and opulence.
Logo made for making use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font that is evocative a popular sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked closely with the owner to produce a logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
