Bushwick Logo Design

Nearly every new Bushwick organization realizes that they are in need of a logo, yet few entrepreneurs fully grasp the crucial role their logo can make in their success, or why one logo design performs far better than another. A company logo has an instant and long-term effect on the financial success of a business, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Bushwick businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require deliberation, they can be realized in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Bushwick coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening up in an older section of the community and wished to project a vintage vibe without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved the two tasks via designing a custom logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and also bacteria created for Bushwick medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which investigates the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine that works with the laboratory examination of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I recall in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and much more memorable.

logo design with a jumping green frog designed for a family enjoyable facility in Bushwick.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - made for Bushwick traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead reveal emotional journeys through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I tried to do something much the same to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Bushwick logo but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Bushwick logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however the client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his aversion for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get objective point of views on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their business logo realize how essential a logo is for their business so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo job possesses it’s allotment of difficulties, but the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Bushwick book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, yet it is the most necessary part of a printed book because it is often the primary thing a person views in the book shop. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever have to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it seems like that in many cases 1 of the aspects consumers usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a spirit of flight and it was definitely a success.

Bushwick logo layout made use of for advertising as well as a label design for Vintage Case includes an archaic font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this business logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be used for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Bushwick, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most difficult logo design jobs because it seems that every single dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really love doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a household not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 personalities surprised in height to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the families in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to describe how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that describes itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo style produced for a hair style workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo that communicated a feeling of peace and connection for their new hair salon. I created a concept that didn’t go the obvious path of making merely a stylized orchid but rather crafted a company logo that suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is generally the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the emphasis on the feeling that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Arabian steed logo design developed for a horse ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Coffee shop logo style a little restaurant, layout includes a modified script typeface which hovers above a group of elaborate lines and also dots.

Logo style for a software program developer the style attributes as well as famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a logo is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

Develop logo style created for a Bushwick interior developer, layout feature a collection of red circles that intersect and change the letter O in the center of the logo design.

A logo design featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly understood the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to sell their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Bushwick business logo dsign using an image that captures the attention of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo style has actually a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo idea wasn’t actually designed for an Bushwick regional farm it was actually designed for a products broker, and this particular brand was one of multiple that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to develop an identity that projects confidence, financial success, and wealth.
Logo made for making use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is evocative a well-known sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked directly with the owner to create a logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
