Cambria Heights Logo Design

Virtually every new Cambria Heights organization understands that they are in need of a logo, yet few entrepreneurs entirely understand the pivotal role their company logo can take in their financial success, or the reason that one business logo works better than another. A logo design has an instant and long term effect on the growth of a company, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Cambria Heights businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require deliberation, they can be grasped in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will remain legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Cambria Heights coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening up in an old part of the area and really wanted to project a vintage tone without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished both jobs via creating a sign design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and germs designed for Cambria Heights medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that investigates the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which works with the clinical evaluation of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Generally I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves quite literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog created for a household fun facility in Cambria Heights.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Cambria Heights travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead reveal emotional experiences through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with just words. I tried to do something the same to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Cambria Heights logo but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Cambria Heights logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however the client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members didn’t share his scorn for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to discuss it with colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased judgements on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their business logo understand how crucial a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo project possesses it’s allotment of difficulties, however the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Cambria Heights publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin slice of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most crucial part of a printed book since it is often the first thing a person views in the book shop. With respect to a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever have to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it seems like that in many cases 1 of the aspects folks tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a sense of flight and it was surely a victory.

Cambria Heights logo layout utilized for advertising and marketing as well as a tag layout for Vintage Situation includes an antiquated typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for music instruments, which looked to be older cases. For this brand design I strove to come up with a logo that had a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Cambria Heights, layout include an arc with lines converging with it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can be one of the most challenging logo design projects considering that it appears that every single dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really enjoy doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family members nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities startled in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to summarize how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a hair design studio including a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo which related a spirit of contentment and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious path of designing just a stylized orchid but instead crafted a company logo that suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is frequently the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the focus on the feeling that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Logo design for a software application programmer the design functions and also legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in many cases the substance supporting a logo is just as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

A logo design including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to market their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Cambria Heights logo dsign using an illustration that captures the attention of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem concept wasn’t really designed for an Cambria Heights regional farm it was actually devised for an investments broker, and this particular company logo was one of several which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to produce a graphic that projected self-confidence, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo made for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is evocative a popular sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed quite a lot of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked closely with the proprietor to design a logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
