POINTERS FOR DETERMINING THE RIGHT LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo is an investment in both your time and your money so anytime a design firm offers a money back guarantee try to keep in mind that they simply cannot refund the amount of time you commit which is eminently more precious than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Many design firms talk a good game but in the end a design firm can only be determined by the quality of their design work, if the work in their design portfolio doesn’t feature real life examples odds are they won’t be able to deliver a top quality logo design.

VISION

A logo’s goal is to be understood and be unforgettable, and it’s purpose is to mirror your unique vision for your organization. If a logo designer isn’t focused on actualizing your vision, the thing they are really focused on is how quickly they can get paid.

Copiague LOGO DESIGN

For over two decades ImageCo has been helping business owners develop notable brands. We have performed logo design work for mechanics, colleges, diamond miners, wedding singers, bistros, retail stores, and just about every other kind of business concern you can imagine. What makes ImageCo different compared to our contemporaries is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we approach every brand identity project as though it will be employed as an electrical sign. As a result of our sign first method our logo designs can, and have been utilized in everything from garment labels to electrical signs. Our sign first method guarantees that our logo designs are equally reliable whether they are used in television commercials or website applications, they are consistently recognizable, comprehended, and remembered no matter of scale or purpose.

American Made ★ Design

Something that really sets ImageCo apart from other design agencies that you might have encountered in Google’s search results, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that absolutely every project we are retained to perform, we perform in-house. Regardless of the kind of project we accept, brand identity design, website design, trade show booth, or electric sign, we do not, and never will contract out our customer’s work to organizations based outside the US. Whenever you contact us at 1-855-IMAGECO the person that picks up the telephone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a go-between that marks up the price of your design project and determines the terms of how you and I conduct business.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A GOOD LOGO DESIGN

It’s likely that every new Copiague business understands that they need a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly understand the essential role their business logo will perform in their becoming successful, or why one logo performs better than another. A logo has an instant and lasting effect on the viability of a business, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Copiague businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require deliberation, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to retail signs a scalable business logo will remain legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel personal, and they are suitable for the product or company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be ageless and should feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

understanding branding

Brand – It’s a verb and also a noun, it is an identifying mark and the act of denoting something to make sure that it can be recognized, its foundation comes from the brand burned onto animals. These days a brand symbolizes virtually anything with a motive, whether it be revenue or government agencies, a brand is an innate aspect of specifying the worth of a specific thing in the public’s mind.

Branding – Is sort of like marketing and advertising’s attractive sister, they are both from the exact same family, the difference being that marketing and advertising have to do with making a promise and branding’s goal is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a strategic popularity competition targeted at a specific audience, it’s goal is to create a mental image that the audience will relate to.

Brand Image – An image planted and nurtured by advertising and marketing as well as identity design. When a person states the names Porsche or Corvette what we think of is their brand image, it’s a picture that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a vehicle with 4 wheels that can carry us from point A to point B, the the mental image we have (or at least I have) is of freedom, beauty, of something dangerous and sexy . That is brand image and brand image is what makes individuals buy those brands. Brand image is why people identify with specific brands, from Nike to Adidas Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that people can relate to.

Branding Firms – If you look back at the history of most branding agencies you’ll find that they are quite often rebranded marketing companies. When a person says they are in advertising many people will likely have an idea about what they do. Yet when a person states “I am in branding”… it simply seems more attractive, probably it’s since many people do not understand what it suggests to be in branding so it comes off as more mysterious and maybe even sexy.

Brand Identity – Is a comprehensive term that defines the visual components of a product or company that influence understandings. This largely consists of the name, the logo design, the packaging, the different colors used yet can likewise consist of audio, lights, texture, signs, really anything that can be seen, touched or listened to are part of a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designer
– A brand identity designer is a visual designer that specializes in a kind of visual design that helps shape the public image of a firm, a product or a business. Brand identity designers produce logo designs, sign designs, product packaging, and also collateral material such as cards, stationery, and also brochures. Some identity designers also design sites and software interfaces. The crucial role of a brand identity designer is to create the visual cues and also a psychological tone with the objective of influencing actions, results as well as perceptions.

Featured logos & signs

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Copiague coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening up in an older part of the area and wanted to cast a retro atmosphere without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished each of the tasks by developing a custom logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide and germs designed for Copiague clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that investigates the causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that works with the clinical examination of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I recollect in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more appealing, more interest grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog designed for a family enjoyable facility in Copiague.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and a tree - designed for Copiague traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather convey emotional experiences through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they often tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Copiague logo but also to show the depth of her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Copiague logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design jobs that I take on I really enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but my customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his hatred for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced assessments on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their business logo understand how essential a logo is for their business so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo design project possesses it’s portion of obstacles, but the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Copiague publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, but it is the most vital part of a published book because it is usually the very first thing a person sees in the book shop. For a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it seems like that in many occurrences 1 of the things consumers often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a sense of air travel and it was surely a victory.

Copiague logo design made use of for advertising and marketing and a tag layout for Vintage Situation features an old-fashioned typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this brand design I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Copiague, design include an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects because it appears that every single dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dentists do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a household not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities surprised in elevation to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo style produced for a Copiague hair design studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo which projected a feeling of peace and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious direction of crafting merely a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a business logo that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is in most cases the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the focus on the feeling that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Arabian horse logo design developed for a steed ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted a one-of-a-kind logotype concept styled to illustrate the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of horses. By having a different head shape and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the highly quite easily recognizable equine breeds in the whole world.

Las Cafe, A Copiague Coffee shop logo design a tiny dining establishment, design consists of a changed manuscript font which hovers over a team of ornate lines and dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo layout a little restaurant, style consists of a modified script font style which hovers over a group of luxuriant lines and dots.

Logo design for a software program developer the style features and also iconic Copiague aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance supporting a company logo is just as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

Progress logo layout developed for a Copiagueinterior designer, style feature a series of red circles that converge and change the letter O in the middle of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Copiague interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is somebody who organizes, investigates, collaborates, and manages such tasks. Interior design is a diverse occupation that includes conceptual development, area planning, location inspections, programming, analysis, corresponding with the stakeholders of a project, construction management, and execution of the design.

logo design done for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Copiague, the personalities for letter V and also A in center of the word progressed have been changed to link directly right into words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Copiague logo design job was performed for a leadership consultant that helps business leaders to develop into more successful at managing people, expectations, and profitability.

A Copiague business logo design featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly realized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to market their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts.

I tailored their Copiague business logo design using a graphic which garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.

Logo design MQ ranches, this Copiague company logo design has an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t really composed for an Copiague regional farm it was actually designed for a products broker, and this particular business logo was one of many which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to produce a graphic that projected self-confidence, success, and luxury.

Copiague Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo layout function for outwardly dealing with arrow and the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the liberty to discover any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye in the absence of knowing where the target is. Luckily, in this particular instance, I struck a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo created for making use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is evocative a popular Copiague sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed loads of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked directly with the owner to develop a logo which worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
