East Northport Logo Design

Virtually every new East Northport company realizes that they need a logo, but few new business owners entirely recognize the vital role their logo can make in their becoming successful, or why one logo design performs better than another. A logo design has an immediate and long-term influence on the prosperity of a company, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help East Northport companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require scrutiny, they can be grasped in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will remain legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a East Northport coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening in an old section of the area and hoped to visualize a vintage vibe without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled the two jobs by creating a symbol design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria designed for East Northport clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that analyzes the causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that deals with the laboratory evaluation of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I remember where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more interesting, more attention grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo style with a leaping green frog designed for a family enjoyable facility in East Northport.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - made for East Northport traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead convey emotional journeys by means of the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they often tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  East Northport logo but also to illustrate the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

East Northport logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however the client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family did not share his hatred for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to share it with friends and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get objective point of views on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their logo recognize how vital a logo is for their organization so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo design project possesses it’s allotment of hurdles, however the greatest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for East Northport publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, but it really is the most vital part of a printed book due to the fact that it is usually the very first thing a person sees in the book store. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will ever have to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart but it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the aspects individuals usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young start-up commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a good sense of flight and it was definitely a success.

East Northport logo style used for advertising and a tag layout for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be vintage cases. For this brand concept I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could be used for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in East Northport, style consist of an arc with lines converging through it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo design projects because it seems that every single dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental offices do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really enjoy doing dentistry logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities surprised in elevation to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to illustrate precisely how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo layout produced for a hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo that carried a sense of tranquility and class for their new hair salon. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious direction of making simply a stylized orchid but instead created a logo design that suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is generally the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the emphasis on the perception that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Las Cafe logo design a tiny restaurant, design consists of a customized manuscript font which hovers above a team of elaborate lines and dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo style a small dining establishment, style consists of a customized script font which hovers over a group of ornate lines as well as dots.

Logo style for a software application developer the design features and legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance behind a logo design is just as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

logo design provided for Advanced Management Solutions, the personalities for letter V and A in middle of words advanced have been changed to tie directly into the words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This East Northport logo design job was performed for a management consultant that helps business professionals to become more efficient at overseeing people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to sell their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their East Northport business logo dsign using a graphic that garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo style has a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem idea wasn’t really produced for an East Northport area farm it was in reality developed for a products broker, and this business logo was one of multiple which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to generate a brand mark that projected assurance, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo developed for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font style that is evocative a famous sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created quite a lot of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked closely with the owner to design a business logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
