Elmont Logo Design

Nearly every new Elmont venture knows they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs thoroughly grasp the essential role their organization logo will take in their financial success, or precisely why one logo design functions far better than another. A business logo has an instant and lasting effect on the financial success of a company, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Elmont companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand contemplation, they can be grasped in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will remain legible and equally emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bike created for a Elmont coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were opening up in an old section of the community and wanted to project a nostalgic atmosphere without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs by creating a trademark concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs made for Elmont medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that investigates the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which deals with the laboratory assessment of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I remember where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog created for a family fun facility in Elmont.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - made for Elmont traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead reveal emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they often tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Elmont logo but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Elmont logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I really relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however the client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his scorn for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get objective judgements on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their business logo recognize how crucial a logo design is for their business so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo project possesses it’s portion of challenges, but the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for Elmont publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender slice of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most essential part of a printed book since it is usually the very first thing a person views in the bookstore. Concerning a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever get to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart yet it seems like that in many cases one of the aspects consumers usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a spirit of air travel and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Elmont logo style made use of for advertising as well as a tag design for Vintage Case features an archaic font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be vintage cases. For this business logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Elmont, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects because it seems that almost every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually love doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters surprised in height to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to explain exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that describes itself won’t have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo design developed for a hair style workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo that communicated a sense of ease and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious course of crafting simply a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a logo design that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is oftentimes the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the emphasis on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software application designer the style functions and also legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance behind a logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

A logo style including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly understood the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a location to sell off their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Elmont business logo dsign using an image that garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo style has actually an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t actually designed for an Elmont area farm it was actually developed for a commodities broker, and this particular logo was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to create a brand mark that projects self-confidence, effectiveness, and opulence.
Logo design made for the use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is evocative a famous sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked directly with the owner to produce a logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
