Far Rockaway Logo Design

Virtually every new Far Rockaway organization understands that they require a logo, but few new business owners entirely grasp the essential role their organization logo can perform in their financial success, or the reason that one business logo works far better than another. A logo design has an instant and long-term effect on the financial success of a business, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Far Rockaway companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require scrutiny, they can be realized in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will be legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo design of a bike created for a Far Rockaway coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening in an older section of the area and wished to cast a vintage tone without coming across as boring or low energy. I achieved the two tasks by creating a company logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also germs designed for Far Rockaway medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that researches the root causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the clinical assessment of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I recall where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more focus grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a household fun facility in Far Rockaway.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and a tree - developed for Far Rockaway travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead communicate emotional journeys through the images they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they often share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Far Rockaway logo design but also to reveal the depth to her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Far Rockaway logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design projects that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however the customer, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his hatred for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get objective opinions on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo comprehend how important a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo project has it’s allotment of difficulties, but the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Far Rockaway publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most necessary part of a printed book considering that it is usually the very first thing a person views in the bookstore. With respect to a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart nevertheless it seems that in many cases one of the traits consumers tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a spirit of airline flight and it was definitely a victory.

Far Rockaway logo layout utilized for advertising and a label style for Vintage Instance features an archaic font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this brand design I sought to come up with a logo that provided a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different era.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Far Rockaway, design include an arc with lines converging via it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs because it seems that almost every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental practices do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family members nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters startled in elevation to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to illustrate precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo design produced for a hair design studio including a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo that conveyed a feeling of serenity and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious course of creating merely a stylized orchid but rather delivered a logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is in most cases the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the focus on the emotion that they wanted to transmit to their customers.

Arabian horse logo design produced for a steed cattle ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed a one-of-a-kind logotype concept tailored to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of horses. By having an identifiable head shape and very high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most immediately recognizable equine types in the whole world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo style a small restaurant, layout consists of a changed manuscript font which hovers above a team of ornate lines and also dots.

Logo style for a software program developer the style functions and also famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive managing. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance behind a company logo is just as important as how it serves the company it represents.

Evolve logo style developed for a Far Rockaway indoor developer, layout feature a collection of red circles that converge and replace the letter O in the center of the logo style.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly understood the market was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to sell their used items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Far Rockaway business logo dsign using a graphic which garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo concept wasn’t actually developed for an Far Rockaway area farm it was in reality designed for an investments broker, and this company logo was one of multiple which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to make an identity that projects trust, success, and prosperity.
Logo design designed for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is reminiscent of a renowned sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed loads of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to develop a logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
