Gravesend Logo Design

Nearly every new Gravesend organization knows they are in need of a logo, but few entrepreneurs thoroughly comprehend the essential role their company logo will make in their financial success, or the reason that one logo functions better than another. A logo has an immediate and long-term effect on the success of a business, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Gravesend businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand consideration, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will remain legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Gravesend coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were launching in an older section of the community and wanted to project a retro feel without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved both of these jobs by means of developing a symbol design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as germs created for Gravesend clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that analyzes the root causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of medicine that works with the clinical assessment of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I call to mind in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog created for a family members fun center in Gravesend.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Gravesend travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but rather communicate emotional experiences through the images they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Gravesend logo but also to reveal the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Gravesend logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design projects that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however my client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his scorn for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to talk about it with friends and family members as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get neutral viewpoints on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo understand how essential a logo design is for their business so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo design job has it’s portion of challenges, but the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Gravesend publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, but it really is the most important part of a published book because it is often the first thing a person sees in the book shop. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will likely ever get to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it seems that in many instances 1 of the aspects individuals often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a sense of air travel and it was certainly a success.

Gravesend logo design used for advertising and marketing and a label layout for Vintage Case includes an archaic font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be vintage cases. For this logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be used for every thing from a web page to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Gravesend, design include an arc with lines intersecting via it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most challenging logo projects because it appears that virtually every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dental business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 characters surprised in elevation to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to explain precisely how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that describes itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair layout studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo design that carried a spirit of ease and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious course of making simply a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a business logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is frequently the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the main focus on the feeling that they really wanted to transmit to their customers.

Logo layout for a software designer the layout functions and also legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance behind a logo design is just as important as how it brands the company it represents.

A logo style featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly realized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a location to sell off their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Gravesend logo dsign along with an image which captures the attention of vehicles and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo design has actually a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t really designed for an Gravesend regional farm it was actually created for a products broker, and this creative logo was one of many that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to produce an identity that projected esteem, success, and affluence.
Logo design developed for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a famous sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted quite a lot of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked directly with the owner to produce a logo design which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
