Greenpoint Logo Design

Nearly every new Greenpoint business realizes that they need a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly are aware of the key role their logo design will make in their financial success, or exactly why one business logo performs far better than another. A logo has an immediate and long-term effect on the prosperity of a business, select the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Greenpoint businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require consideration, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Greenpoint coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were launching in an old part of town and wished to project a vintage atmosphere without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved the two tasks by means of developing a logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as germs designed for Greenpoint clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the field of medicine which works with the clinical evaluation of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I remember where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves quite literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo style with a leaping green frog made for a household fun center in Greenpoint.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Greenpoint traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality because travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather project emotional journeys through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they often tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Greenpoint logo but also to illustrate the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Greenpoint logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however my customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family did not share his contempt for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage all of them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get objective viewpoints on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to create their business logo comprehend how crucial a logo design is for their business so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo job possesses it’s share of hurdles, but the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Greenpoint publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, but it is the most crucial part of a published book because it is usually the very first thing a person views in the book store. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will likely ever have to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it looks like that in many instances 1 of the traits folks usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a good sense of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Greenpoint logo layout utilized for marketing and also a tag layout for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be vintage cases. For this custom logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could be used for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Greenpoint, style include an arc with lines converging with it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects because it seems that almost every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dentists do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I actually love doing dentistry logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a household nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in height to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to summarize specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style developed for a hair layout studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo that related a sense of relaxation and connection for their new hair studio. I created a design that did not go the obvious course of crafting just a stylized orchid but instead crafted a company logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is in most cases the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the focus on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Arabian equine logo design created for a steed cattle ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted an original brand design fashioned to epitomize the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of horses. By having a different head form and very high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most easily recognizable equine breeds in the entire world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo design a small dining establishment, style includes a customized script font which floats over a group of elaborate lines and also dots.

Logo layout for a software program designer the layout features as well as legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the owner of the company and in many cases the significance behind a logo design is just as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

Develop logo layout developed for a Greenpoint interior developer, design attribute a collection of red circles that converge and also change the letter O in the center of the logo style.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

logo style provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions, the characters for letter V and also A in middle of the word progressed have actually been modified to tie directly into words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Greenpoint logo design project was carried out for a management coach that enables business professionals to develop into more successful at handling people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly recognized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a location to sell their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Greenpoint business logo dsign utilizing an image which garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem idea wasn’t really developed for an Greenpoint area farm it was really created for a products broker, and this particular logo was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to make a brand mark that projected self-assurance, success, and luxury.
Logo made for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font style that is similar to a well-known sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked directly with the business owner to develop a logo design that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
