Harrison Logo Design

Each and every new Harrison venture understands that they need a logo, however few new business owners entirely recognize the vital role their company logo will perform in their becoming successful, or precisely why one logo design performs more effectively than another. A business logo has an instant and sustaining effect on the financial success of a business, choose the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Harrison companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require scrutiny, they can be understood in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will stay legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bike produced for a Harrison coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening in an older part of the area and hoped to cast a nostalgic feel without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished both of these jobs via developing a sign design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide as well as germs created for Harrison medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare which works with the clinical evaluation of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I remember where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves rather literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more interesting, more interest grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping environment-friendly frog made for a family fun facility in Harrison.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - developed for Harrison travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead convey emotional experiences by means of the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with just words. I tried to do something similar to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Harrison logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Harrison logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design projects that I take on I really savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however the client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his aversion for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral viewpoints on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they really liked the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo recognize how essential a logo is for their company so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo design job has it’s share of hurdles, however the greatest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Harrison book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most essential part of a printed book because it is in most cases the initial thing a person sees in the bookstore. Concerning a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will ever get to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it seems like that in many cases 1 of the traits consumers tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a sense of flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Harrison logo layout utilized for advertising and marketing and a tag layout for Vintage Case features an antiquated font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be much older cases. For this business logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Harrison, layout consist of an arc with lines converging with it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs considering that it appears that every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually love doing dentist logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to describe precisely how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair layout workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo that conveyed a sense of simplicity and class for their new hair studio. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious direction of designing simply a stylized orchid but rather delivered a business logo that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is more often than not the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the emphasis on the feeling that they wanted to project to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Cafe logo layout a little restaurant, design contains a changed script font which hovers above a group of elaborate lines as well as dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo layout a tiny restaurant, layout consists of a modified script typeface which floats over a team of elaborate lines and also dots.

Logo design for a software application developer the style features and also renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and drive managing. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

Evolve logo design produced for a Harrison indoor designer, style attribute a collection of red circles that converge and replace the letter O in the middle of the logo style.

logo design done for Advanced Leadership Solutions, the personalities for letter V and A in center of the word advanced have been changed to link straight right into the words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Harrison logo design assignment was undertaken for a leadership guide that enables business professionals to develop into more successful at managing people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo layout including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly knew the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a place to market their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Harrison logo design dsign utilizing an image that garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo style has a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo design wasn’t actually created for an Harrison area farm it was really devised for an investments broker, and this particular company was one of a handful of that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to make a graphic that projects confidence, effectiveness, and luxury.
Logo created for the use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is similar to a well-known sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed dozens of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked directly with the proprietor to produce a logo design which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
