POINTERS FOR CHOOSING THE RIGHT LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo is an investment in both your time and your money so whenever a design firm offers a money back guarantee try to bear in mind that they can not reimburse the time you commit which is much more precious than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Many designers talk a good game but in the end a design firm can only be judged from the quality of their design work, if the work in their design portfolio does not contain real life samples chances are they will not be able to deliver a quality logo design.

VISION

A logo’s objective is to be understood and remembered, and it’s goal is to mirror your unique vision for your business. If a designer isn’t focused on actualizing your vision, the thing they are actually focused on is how quickly they will get paid.

Lindenhurst LOGO DESIGN

For over twenty years ImageCo has been helping start ups and entrepreneurs grow unforgettable brand identities. We’ve done brand identity design work for mechanics, educational institutions, heart surgeons, wedding singers, coffee roasters, retail stores, and just about every other kind of business concern you can envision. What makes us unique compared to our contemporaries is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we approach every brand identity project as though it will be employed as an electric sign. Because of our sign first technique our identity designs can, and have been employed in everything from fashion labels to neon signs. Our sign first method guarantees that our logo designs are just as successful whether they are used in television commercials or website applications, they are consistently recognizable, comprehended, and always remembered no matter of scale or application.

American Made ★ Design

Something which truly sets ImageCo apart from many of the design firms that you might possibly have encountered on-line, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that absolutely every design project we are enlisted to do, we perform in-house. Regardless of the type of design project we accept, logo, web page, trade show exhibit, or commercial sign, we do not, and never will farm-out our client’s projects to 3rd parties located outside the United States. When you phone us at 1-855-IMAGECO the person that picks up the phone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a go-between that increases the price of your project and determines the terms of how my customers and I conduct business.

ASPECTS OF A GREAT LOGO DESIGN

Virtually every new Lindenhurst company knows they probably need a logo, yet few start-ups entirely recognize the key role their logo will play in their financial success, or why one business logo functions more effectively than another. A business logo has an immediate and sustaining impact on the financial success of a business, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Lindenhurst businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t need contemplation, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from label to store signs a scalable logo will be legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos which work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel exclusive, and they are suitable for the product or business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be ageless and will feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

understanding branding

Brand – It is both a verb and a noun, it is an identifying mark and the act of marking something to ensure that it could be identified, its genesis originates from the brand burned onto animals. Nowadays a brand signifies virtually anything with an intention, regardless of whether it be earnings or government agencies, a brand is an intrinsic aspect of defining the worth of something in the public’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like marketing and advertising’s sexy cousin, they are both from the very same family, the distinction being that marketing and advertising are about making a promise and branding’s goal is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity contest targeted at a target audience, it’s goal is to create an image that the audience will connect to.

Brand Image – An image planted and nurtured by advertising and marketing and also identity design. When a person says the brand names Ferrari or Corvette what we think of is their brand image, it’s a picture that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a car with 4 wheels that can deliver us from point A to point B, the the mental image we have (or at least I have) is of speed, beauty, of something dangerous and unique . That is brand image and brand image is what makes individuals purchase those brands. Brand image is why people acquire specific brands, from Pepsi to Coke Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that people can identify with.

Branding Firms – If you look back at the origin of many branding companies you’ll find that they are quite often re-branded advertising and marketing agencies. When a person claims they are in advertising lots of people will likely have an idea about the type of work they do anything that can be seen, felt or heard are part of a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designers
– A brand identity designer is a visual designer that focuses on a type of visual design which helps form the perception of a firm, a product or an organization. Brand identity designers create logo designs, sign designs, product packaging, as well as collateral products such as business cards, stationery, and sales brochures. Some visual designers also design websites and software interfaces. The vital role of a brand identity designer is to establish the visual cues as well as an emotional tone with the goal of influencing activities, results and understandings.

Featured logos & signs

Retro logo style of a bicycle created for a Lindenhurst coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and cafe were opening up in an older part of the city and hoped to project an old-fashioned atmosphere without coming across as boring or low energy. I achieved both of these jobs by means of designing a trademark design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and also germs developed for Lindenhurst clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which studies the causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that deals with the laboratory assessment of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I recollect in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more captivating, more focus grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping environment-friendly frog created for a household fun facility in Lindenhurst.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - designed for Lindenhurst travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead reveal emotional experiences through the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they often tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Lindenhurst logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Lindenhurst logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I honestly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but the customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family did not share his aversion for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get neutral opinions on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they adored the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo design comprehend how important a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo job has it’s allotment of hurdles, but the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, design for Lindenhurst book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most critical part of a printed book due to the fact that it is in most cases the very first thing a person sees in the bookstore. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity they will ever get to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it seems that in many cases 1 of the things people tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a feeling of air travel and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Lindenhurst logo style used for marketing as well as a label design for Vintage Situation includes an old typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for music instruments, that looked to be antique cases. For this logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid vintage feel to it and could be used for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Lindenhurst, style consist of an arc with lines converging with it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo design projects considering that it appears that every single dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dentists do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really love doing dentistry business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in height to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to summarize specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a Lindenhurst hair layout workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a company logo that carried a sense of peace and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious path of designing merely a stylized orchid but alternatively created a logo design which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is generally the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the main focus on the perception that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Arabian steed logo design created for an equine cattle ranch that specializes in reproducing Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed an original business logo concept styled to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of equines. By having a different head form and high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the very most quite easily identifiable equine breeds in the entire world.

Las Cafe, A Lindenhurst Coffee shop logo layout a tiny dining establishment, design consists of a customized script font which floats above a group of elaborate lines as well as dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo design a little dining establishment, design includes a customized manuscript font which hovers over a group of elaborate lines and dots.

Logo style for a software application developer the design functions as well as legendary Lindenhurst component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance behind a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

Develop logo layout produced for a Lindenhurstindoor developer, layout attribute a collection of red circles that converge and replace the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Lindenhurst interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is someone who organizes, explores, coordinates, and oversees such projects. Interior design is a multifaceted occupation that consists of conceptual development, area planning, location examinations, programming, study, corresponding with the stakeholders of a project, building and construction management, and implementation of the design.

logo layout done for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Lindenhurst, the characters for letter V and also A in center of the word advanced have actually been customized to connect directly into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Lindenhurst logo design job was performed for a management guide that aids business leaders to develop into more successful at handling people, expectations, and profitability.

A Lindenhurst business logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to sell their used items to other sports enthusiasts.

I designed their Lindenhurst logo design along with an illustration which captures the attention of vehicles and sends an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.

Logo layout MQ ranches, this Lindenhurst company logo style has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem concept wasn’t really composed for an Lindenhurst area farm it was in reality designed for an investments broker, and this particular company was one of many that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to generate a brand mark that projects assurance, effectiveness, and opulence.

Lindenhurst Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo layout function for outwardly encountering arrow as well as the arrowheads imply that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what kind of logo design that they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the liberty to discover any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye without knowing where exactly the target is. Luckily, in this instance, I nailed a bullseye with the first try.

Logo created for the use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font that is similar to a popular Lindenhurst sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to design a logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
