TIPS FOR IDENTIFYING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A business logo is an investment in both your time and your money so whenever a design firm presents a money back guarantee try to bear in mind that they can’t refund the time you commit which is much more precious than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Some designers talk a good game but in the end a design agency can only be evaluated by the quality of their portfolio, if the work in their design portfolio doesn’t feature real life examples odds are they won’t be able to deliver a top quality logo design.

VISION

A logo’s objective is to be understood and be unforgettable, and it’s goal is to reflect your unique vision for your organization. If a logo designer is not focused on actualizing your vision, the thing they are really focused on is how fast they will get paid.

Lynbrook LOGO DESIGN

For over 2 decades ImageCo has been helping entrepreneurs develop unforgettable brand identities. We have performed brand design work for builders, educational institutions, heart surgeons, wedding singers, bistros, retailers, and practically every other kind of business concern you can envision. What makes ImageCo different compared to our competitors is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every brand identity project as though it will be used as an electrical sign. As a result of our sign first method our designs can, and have been employed in everything from garment labels to billboards. Our sign first approach guarantees that our logo designs are equally successful whether they are used in TV commercials or web applications, they are consistently identifiable, understood, and always remembered irrespective of size or application.

American Made ★ Design

Something which seriously sets ImageCo apart from other design agencies that you might have encountered online, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that absolutely every project we are contracted to do, we do in-house. Regardless of the kind of project we undertake, brand identity design, web page, trade show booth, or commercial sign, we do not, and never will farm-out our client’s projects to agencies based outside the United States. Whenever you contact us at 1-855-IMAGECO the person that answers the telephone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not an agent that increases the cost of your project and dictates the conditions of how my customers and I conduct business.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A POWERFUL LOGO DESIGN

It’s likely that every new Lynbrook company understands that they require a logo, however few start ups entirely realize the vital role their organization’s logo can play in their becoming successful, or exactly why one business logo performs better than another. A company logo has an immediate and sustaining effect on the prosperity of a company, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Lynbrook businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t need scrutiny, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from clothing labels to retail signs a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos which work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel right, and they are suitable for the item or business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be timeless and will feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

understand your brand

Brand – It is a verb and also a noun, it’s an identifying mark and also the act of marking something so that it can be recognized, its foundation comes from the brand burned onto livestock. Nowadays a brand symbolizes practically anything with an objective, whether it be revenue or politics, a brand is an innate aspect of defining the worth of something in the consumer’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like marketing and advertising’s sexy sister, they are all from the same family, the distinction being that marketing and advertising have to do with making a promise and branding’s goal is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity competition targeted at a specific audience, it’s objective is to create a mental image that the audience can connect to.

Brand Image – An image planted and cultivated by advertising and marketing and also identity design. When someone mentions the brand names Lamborghini or Corvette what we think of is their brand image, it’s a picture that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a vehicle with 4 wheels that can carry us from point A to point B, the image we have (or at least I have) is of freedom, elegance, of something dangerous and sexy . That is brand image and brand image is what makes people want those products. Brand image is why individuals get specific brands, from Nike to Adidas Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that we can identify with.

Branding Firms – If you look back at the origin of most branding firms you’ll find that they are often rebranded advertising agencies. When somebody states they are in marketing most individuals will likely have a preconceived notion about the type of work they do anything that can be seen, touched or listened to are part of a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designer
– A brand identity designer is a designer that concentrates on a type of visual design that helps form the image of a firm, a product or a business organization. Brand identity designers produce logo designs, signage designs, product packaging, and collateral material such as cards, stationery, and also sales brochures. Some visual designers also build sites and software interfaces. The important duty of a brand identity designer is to establish the visual cues and also an emotional tone with the objective of influencing activities, end results and understandings.

select SIGNS & LOGOS

Retro logo style of a bicycle created for a Lynbrook coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually launching in an old part of the city and wished to visualize an old-fashioned vibe without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs via creating a logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria developed for Lynbrook clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the triggers and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare which deals with the laboratory assessment of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recollect where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Normally I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves rather literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping green frog developed for a household enjoyable center in Lynbrook.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and a tree - designed for Lynbrook travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead convey emotional journeys by means of the images they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Lynbrook logo but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Lynbrook logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I genuinely relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members did not share his scorn for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased viewpoints on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their business logo comprehend how essential a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo project has it’s share of difficulties, but the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for Lynbrook book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender slice of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most essential part of a published book given that it is in most cases the primary thing a person sees in the book shop. With respect to a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it seems that in many instances one of the traits individuals usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a good sense of airline flight and it was certainly a success.

Lynbrook logo style used for advertising and marketing and also a label design for Vintage Instance includes an old font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be antique cases. For this custom logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Lynbrook, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo jobs considering that it appears that each and every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental practices do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dentistry logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities staggered in height to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to summarize how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo layout developed for a Lynbrook hair design workshop including a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo that projected an atmosphere of peace and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious path of creating merely a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a logo design that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is usually the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the main focus on the feeling that they really wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Arabian horse logo design created for a steed cattle ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a distinct custom logo concept customized to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of horses. With an unique head form and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most quite easily recognizable equine breeds in the whole world.

Las Cafe, A Lynbrook Coffee shop logo layout a small dining establishment, style includes a customized script font style which hovers above a team of elaborate lines and dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo layout a little dining establishment, style consists of a modified manuscript font which floats over a team of elaborate lines as well as dots.

Logo style for a software programmer the design functions and renowned Lynbrook component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive managing. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it represented something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance behind a logo is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

Advance logo style produced for a Lynbrookinterior developer, layout attribute a series of red circles that converge and replace the letter O in the center of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Lynbrook interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is somebody who plans, researches, coordinates, and manages such tasks. Interior design is a multifaceted profession that involves conceptual development, area planning, location assessments, programming, research study, corresponding with the stakeholders of a project, building and construction management, and implementation of the design.

logo style done for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Lynbrook, the personalities for letter V and also A in center of words advanced have been changed to connect directly right into the words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Lynbrook logo design assignment was performed for a leadership specialist that enables business leaders to become more successful at handling people, expectations, and profitability.

A Lynbrook business logo style featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly understood the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a spot to market their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts.

I created their Lynbrook logo design design utilizing a graphic that garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.

Logo design MQ farms, this Lynbrook company logo layout has actually a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t actually composed for an Lynbrook regional farm it was in reality developed for a products broker, and this particular trademark was one of multiple that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to design an identity that projects assurance, success, and opulence.

Lynbrook Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo style function for ostensibly encountering arrow as well as the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design they desired, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the freedom to explore any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye in the absence of understanding where the target is. Fortunately, in this particular instance, I nailed a bullseye with the very first shot.

Logo design created for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is reminiscent of a popular Lynbrook sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the business owner to create a business logo which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
