Massapequa Park Logo Design

Virtually every new Massapequa Park venture realizes that they are in need of a logo, but few entrepreneurs fully recognize the key role their company logo can perform in their success, or the reason that one logo design works more effectively than another. A logo design has an instant and sustaining influence on the financial success of a business, pick the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Massapequa Park businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require consideration, they can be comprehended in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will stay legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a Massapequa Park coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and bistro were opening up in an older part of the town and hoped to cast a vintage atmosphere without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs by means of developing a trademark concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide and also germs developed for Massapequa Park clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which deals with the clinical evaluation of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recall in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more interest grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a family members fun center in Massapequa Park.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - created for Massapequa Park travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather convey emotional experiences through the images they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they often share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Massapequa Park logo design but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Massapequa Park logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I really savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however the client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his hatred for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get impartial judgements on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to design their business logo understand how vital a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo job possesses it’s portion of difficulties, but the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, style for Massapequa Park book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, however it is the most essential part of a printed book since it is in most cases the first thing a person views in the book shop. With regard to a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will ever get to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it seems that in many cases one of the aspects individuals usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a sense of flight and it was definitely a success.

Massapequa Park logo design utilized for advertising and marketing as well as a label design for Vintage Situation features an antiquated font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this logo design I tried to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old style feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a website to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Massapequa Park, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can be one of the most challenging logo jobs considering that it seems that each and every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental professionals do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I actually love doing dentistry logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a household nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters startled in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to summarize precisely how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that describes itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo design produced for a hair design studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design which conveyed a feeling of serenity and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious direction of making merely a stylized orchid but rather crafted a company logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is generally the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the main focus on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo style for a software program programmer the design attributes and legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive managing. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance behind a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

A logo design featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly understood the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to market their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Massapequa Park logo dsign along with a graphic which garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo style has a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo design wasn’t actually produced for an Massapequa Park regional farm it was actually designed for a products broker, and this particular company logo was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to design a brand mark that projected confidence, financial success, and wealth.
Logo created for using a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is similar to a well-known sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked closely with the owner to produce a business logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
