Medford Logo Design

Nearly every new Medford company understands that they are in need of a logo, however few new business owners entirely comprehend the vital role their company logo can make in their becoming successful, or why one business logo performs far better than another. A business logo has an immediate and long-term effect on the financial success of a business, pick the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Medford businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require contemplation, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a Medford coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually launching in an old part of town and wished to project a vintage feel without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs by means of developing a company logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and also germs developed for Medford clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the triggers and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that deals with the laboratory examination of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Usually I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more interesting, more interest grabbing and even more memorable.

logo style with a leaping eco-friendly frog developed for a household enjoyable facility in Medford.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and a tree - designed for Medford traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead communicate emotional journeys by means of the images they record. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they often share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with just words. I tried to do something the same to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Medford logo but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Medford logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I honestly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but my client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his hatred for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased point of views on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo realize how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the outcome. Every logo design project possesses it’s share of hurdles, however the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Medford book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, however it is the most critical part of a published book considering that it is usually the very first thing a person views in the bookstore. With regard to a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will likely ever get to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart nevertheless it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the aspects folks often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a feeling of flight and it was certainly a winner.

Medford logo design made use of for advertising and a label design for Vintage Instance includes an antiquated typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be older cases. For this business logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Medford, style include an arc with lines converging with it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can be one of the most difficult logo design projects because it seems that every single dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental practices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dental logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in height to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to illustrate specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo layout developed for a hair layout workshop including a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo that conveyed a spirit of serenity and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious path of making simply a stylized orchid but rather crafted a logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is more often than not the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the attention on the feeling that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Logo layout for a software application programmer the style attributes and legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the owner of the business and in many cases the meaning supporting a logo is equally as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly recognized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a place to sell off their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Medford business logo dsign using a graphic which grabs the attention of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has actually an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo design wasn’t really designed for an Medford area farm it was in reality devised for a commodities broker, and this particular company logo was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to make a brand mark that projects trust, financial success, and luxury.
Logo design developed for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is reminiscent of a renowned sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the owner to design a business logo which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
