Niagara Falls, New York Logo Design

Each and every new Niagara Falls company understands that they require a logo, yet few entrepreneurs entirely are aware of the crucial role their company logo can make in their becoming successful, or the reason that one business logo performs better than another. A logo design has a critical and lasting influence on the success of a business, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a business.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Niagara Falls, New York businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand deliberation, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will remain legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Niagara Falls, New York coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening in an older section of the town and hoped to visualize a retro atmosphere without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks via developing a sign concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and bacteria made for Niagara Falls, New York clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which researches the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which works with the laboratory assessment of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I recall where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more appealing, more attention grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog developed for a household fun center in Niagara Falls, New York.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dentists, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Niagara Falls, New York travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but rather communicate emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Niagara Falls logo but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Niagara Falls logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design jobs that I take on I honestly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his hatred for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get objective assessments on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo understand how essential a logo design is for their business so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo job possesses it’s portion of hurdles, but the most significant challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Niagara Falls, New York publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, but it is the most crucial part of a printed book given that it is in most cases the primary thing a person views in the book store. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will ever get to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the traits people often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a sense of flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Niagara Falls logo design used for marketing and a label style for Vintage Case includes an archaic typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be much older cases. For this business logo design I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Niagara Falls, New York, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo jobs because it appears that virtually every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental offices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I actually enjoy doing dental care logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to illustrate specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style created for a hair style workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo which carried an atmosphere of relaxation and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious path of creating simply a stylized orchid but instead designed a logo that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is frequently the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the main focus on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Logo style for a software application developer the layout functions and legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive managing. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it represented something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance behind a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

A logo design featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to sell their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Niagara Falls business logo dsign using a graphic which garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has actually a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t really produced for an Niagara Falls, New York area farm it was in reality created for a commodities broker, and this company was one of many which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to design an identity that projected esteem, effectiveness, and prosperity.

Niagara Falls Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo layout attribute for externally dealing with arrowhead and also the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design that they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the freedom to delve into any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye without knowing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this particular case, I hit a bullseye with the very first try.

Logo created for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font that is evocative a famous sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked directly with the proprietor to design a logo design that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
