Niagara Falls Logo Design

Nearly every new Niagara Falls venture realizes that they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs fully recognize the crucial role their company logo will perform in their becoming successful, or the reason that one business logo works better than another. A business logo has an immediate and long term impact on the financial success of a company, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Niagara Falls companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require deliberation, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will be legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Niagara Falls coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening up in an older section of the community and really wanted to project a nostalgic vibe without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled both jobs by designing a symbol design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and also germs created for Niagara Falls medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which deals with the laboratory examination of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I remember where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more interest grabbing and more meaningful.

logo design with a leaping green frog created for a family members enjoyable facility in Niagara Falls.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - created for Niagara Falls travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but rather reveal emotional journeys by means of the images they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they often tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Niagara Falls logo but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Niagara Falls logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however the customer, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his aversion for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased opinions on the value of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their logo design recognize how important a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo design project possesses it’s share of difficulties, but the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Niagara Falls book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, however it really is the most important part of a published book considering that it is in most cases the very first thing a person views in the book shop. For a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the traits individuals usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a feeling of air travel and it was certainly a victory.

Niagara Falls logo layout made use of for marketing and a label style for Vintage Instance includes an antiquated font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be vintage cases. For this business logo design I sought to come up with a logo that provided a fluid retro feel to it and could be used for every thing from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Niagara Falls, design include an arc with lines converging with it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects due to the fact that it seems that each and every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really enjoy doing dental care business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family members nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities surprised in elevation to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to describe how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo layout developed for a hair design studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design that conveyed a sense of tranquility and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious direction of making merely a stylized orchid but instead delivered a business logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is in most cases the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the main focus on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Arabian steed logo layout created for an equine ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian program horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Coffee shop logo design a little restaurant, style contains a modified script typeface which hovers over a group of ornate lines and dots.

Logo style for a software developer the style attributes as well as famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance behind a logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it represents.

logo style done for Advanced Leadership Solutions, the personalities for letter V and A in center of the word progressed have been changed to tie straight right into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Niagara Falls logo design assignment was carried out for a management specialist that assists business leaders to develop into more successful at handling people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly knew the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to sell off their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Niagara Falls logo dsign along with an illustration that garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has actually a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t really designed for an Niagara Falls regional farm it was in reality devised for an investments broker, and this company was one of multiple which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to develop a image that projected confidence, effectiveness, and affluence.
Logo design made for the use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is reminiscent of a popular sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked closely with the owner to develop a logo that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
