North Bellmore Logo Design

Every new North Bellmore venture knows they require a logo, yet few entrepreneurs thoroughly realize the pivotal role their business logo can play in their success, or the reason that one logo works better than another. A company logo has an instant and sustaining effect on the growth of a business, pick the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help North Bellmore companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand scrutiny, they can be comprehended in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will be legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bike created for a North Bellmore coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening up in an old part of town and hoped to cast a vintage vibe without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks via developing a logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria created for North Bellmore medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that researches the triggers and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare which works with the clinical examination of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I recollect where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Typically I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog designed for a family members fun center in North Bellmore.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and a tree - created for North Bellmore travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche area because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead communicate emotional journeys through the photos they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they often convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  North Bellmore logo but also to illustrate the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

North Bellmore logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but the client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family did not share his hatred for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral opinions on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their business logo recognize how vital a logo design is for their business so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo design project has it’s portion of challenges, but the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for North Bellmore book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, but it really is the most vital part of a published book considering that it is in most cases the first thing a person views in the book shop. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will ever have to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it looks like that in many instances 1 of the items people tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a feeling of airline flight and it was definitely a victory.

North Bellmore logo layout utilized for advertising and marketing as well as a label design for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be older cases. For this business logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a website to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different era.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in North Bellmore, design include an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo design projects because it appears that every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really love doing dental logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters surprised in height to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to summarize specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that explains itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo design developed for a hair style studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design that related a spirit of contentment and class for their new hair studio. I created a design that did not go the obvious direction of making simply a stylized orchid but rather created a company logo that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is generally the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the attention on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a one-of-a-kind creative logo concept customized to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of equines. With an unique head shape and higher tail posture, the Arabian is one of the most quite easily recognizable equine breeds in the whole world.

Las Coffee shop logo style a tiny dining establishment, style includes a changed script font which floats above a team of ornate lines and also dots.

Logo design for a software program developer the style features and famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive managing. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the meaning behind a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the business it represents.

Evolve logo design developed for a North Bellmore indoor developer, layout function a collection of red circles that converge and change the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to sell their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their North Bellmore logo dsign utilizing an illustration which garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo style has actually a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t really developed for an North Bellmore area farm it was in reality designed for a products broker, and this company logo was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to produce a graphic that projects trust, success, and wealth.
Logo design designed for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is similar to a popular sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked directly with the business owner to create a logo design that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
