Ossining Logo Design

Nearly every new Ossining company knows they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs thoroughly are aware of the key role their logo design will make in their success, or exactly why one logo works far better than another. A company logo has an immediate and long-term influence on the success of a business, select the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Ossining companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require scrutiny, they can be realized in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will remain legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo style of a bicycle created for a Ossining coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee shop were launching in an old section of the area and wanted to cast a nostalgic feel without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished each of the tasks by means of creating a trademark concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide as well as bacteria designed for Ossining medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that works with the laboratory assessment of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I call to mind where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Generally I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more focus grabbing and even more memorable.

logo layout with a jumping green frog developed for a family members fun center in Ossining.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - made for Ossining travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead convey emotional experiences through the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Ossining logo but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Ossining logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family did not share his hatred for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to share it with friends and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get honest assessments on the value of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they really liked the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their business logo recognize how important a logo design is for their business so they are much more invested in the final result. Every logo design job has it’s portion of challenges, but the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, design for Ossining book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped piece of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most essential part of a published book considering that it is ordinarily the initial thing a person views in the bookstore. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it seems like that in many occurrences one of the things consumers usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a sense of airline flight and it was surely a success.

Ossining logo layout utilized for advertising and marketing and also a tag layout for Vintage Case includes an old-fashioned font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be antique cases. For this business logo design I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid vintage feel to it and could be used for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Ossining, style consist of an arc with lines converging with it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs due to the fact that it appears that each and every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dentistry logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a household not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 personalities staggered in elevation to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to illustrate precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo design which communicated a sense of tranquility and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a concept that did not go the obvious course of designing simply a stylized orchid but rather delivered a logo design which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is frequently the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the main focus on the emotion that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software program developer the style features as well as renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it meant something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the meaning behind a logo is just as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

Advance logo design developed for a Ossining indoor developer, style function a collection of red circles that converge and replace the letter O in the center of the logo design.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Ossining logo design assignment was undertaken for a management advisor that enables business professionals to become more efficient at overseeing people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to sell off their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Ossining business logo dsign with a graphic which garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has actually a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand idea wasn’t really created for an Ossining area farm it was in reality developed for a products broker, and this particular logo was one of a handful of which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to design a graphic that projected assurance, financial success, and luxury.
Logo developed for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is similar to a famous sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed loads of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked directly with the business owner to create a logo design that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
