Peekskill Logo Design

Every new Peekskill venture knows they are in need of a logo, but few entrepreneurs fully comprehend the key role their logo can make in their financial success, or exactly why one business logo works more effectively than another. A logo design has an instant and lasting influence on the growth of a business, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Peekskill companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand deliberation, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Peekskill coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening in an older section of the area and wanted to visualize an old-fashioned vibe without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled both of these jobs via developing a logo design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs made for Peekskill medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which researches the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare which deals with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I remember where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Generally I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo design with a leaping environment-friendly frog made for a family members fun center in Peekskill.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - created for Peekskill travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead reveal emotional journeys by means of the images they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they often convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Peekskill logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Peekskill logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I really savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but the customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his aversion for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial assessments on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo comprehend how important a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo design project possesses it’s allotment of challenges, but the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for Peekskill book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin slice of real estate to work with, however it really is the most critical part of a published book due to the fact that it is often the initial thing a person views in the book store. With regard to a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it seems that in many cases one of the aspects folks tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a spirit of air travel and it was definitely a victory.

Peekskill logo layout used for advertising and marketing and a label style for Vintage Instance features an old-fashioned font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be antique cases. For this logo design I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Peekskill, design include an arc with lines converging with it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs because it seems that every single dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dentists do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually love doing dentist logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities surprised in height to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to explain exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo design produced for a hair design workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo which communicated an atmosphere of serenity and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious direction of creating merely a stylized orchid but rather crafted a business logo which suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is generally the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the attention on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their customers.

Logo style for a software application programmer the style features and legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance behind a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it represents.

A logo design including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly realized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to sell their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Peekskill business logo dsign with an illustration which captures the interest of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand design wasn’t actually composed for an Peekskill regional farm it was in reality devised for an investments broker, and this particular logo design was one of several that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to develop a graphic that projected trust, financial success, and affluence.
Logo design created for the use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is reminiscent of a famous sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to develop a logo design that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
