Ronkonkoma Logo Design

Every new Ronkonkoma company knows they require a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly recognize the essential role their company logo can take in their becoming successful, or the reason that one business logo performs far better than another. A business logo has an immediate and sustaining influence on the prosperity of a business, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Ronkonkoma businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require consideration, they can be grasped in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will be legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo design of a bike created for a Ronkonkoma coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually launching in an older part of town and hoped to project an old-fashioned feel without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled both of these tasks via designing a symbol concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide as well as germs developed for Ronkonkoma clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that deals with the clinical assessment of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I recall where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Typically I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more appealing, more interest grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog designed for a family fun center in Ronkonkoma.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Ronkonkoma traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead convey emotional experiences by means of the photos they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they often tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Ronkonkoma logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Ronkonkoma logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however the client, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his contempt for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial assessments on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo design comprehend how crucial a logo is for their business so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo project possesses it’s portion of obstacles, however the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Ronkonkoma book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, yet it is the most essential part of a published book because it is in most cases the initial thing a person sees in the bookstore. With respect to a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will ever have to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go nevertheless it seems that in many cases one of the things consumers tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest start-up commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a sense of air travel and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Ronkonkoma logo style used for marketing as well as a label style for Vintage Situation features an antiquated font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be vintage cases. For this logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could be used for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Ronkonkoma, layout consist of an arc with lines converging through it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects considering that it appears that almost every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dentistry logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 personalities staggered in elevation to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate specifically how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo layout developed for a hair design studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design that conveyed an atmosphere of tranquility and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious course of designing simply a stylized orchid but instead designed a company logo that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is oftentimes the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the importance on the feeling that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software application designer the layout features and legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a company logo is just as important as how it brands the organization it stands for.

Evolve logo design produced for a Ronkonkoma indoor developer, layout function a series of red circles that intersect as well as replace the letter O in the center of the logo design.

logo design done for Advanced Leadership Solutions, the characters for letter V and also A in middle of the word progressed have actually been modified to link directly right into words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Ronkonkoma logo design assignment was carried out for a leadership consultant that enables business professionals to develop into more effective at managing people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo design including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly understood the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to sell off their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Ronkonkoma logo dsign with an illustration which garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has actually an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t really composed for an Ronkonkoma area farm it was really developed for a products broker, and this particular logo was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to develop a graphic that projected confidence, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo created for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is similar to a renowned sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked closely with the business owner to develop a logo which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
