Saratoga Springs Logo Design

Virtually every new Saratoga Springs venture understands that they need a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly recognize the essential role their organization logo will take in their financial success, or the reason that one logo functions more effectively than another. A company logo has an instant and sustaining influence on the success of a business, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Saratoga Springs companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require scrutiny, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will be legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike created for a Saratoga Springs coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening up in an old part of the community and wanted to cast a retro feel without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled both of these tasks by creating a company logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide and also bacteria made for Saratoga Springs clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the triggers and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that deals with the clinical assessment of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I recollect where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more interesting, more focus grabbing and more memorable.

logo design with a jumping green frog created for a household fun center in Saratoga Springs.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Saratoga Springs traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead convey emotional journeys through the images they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they often tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with mere words. I tried to do something similar to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Saratoga Springs logo but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Saratoga Springs logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I honestly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but my client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his contempt for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral assessments on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they really liked the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their business logo realize how crucial a logo is for their company so they are way more invested in the end result. Every logo design project has it’s share of obstacles, however the most significant challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Saratoga Springs book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender slice of real estate to work with, but it is the most critical part of a printed book given that it is in most cases the primary thing a person sees in the book store. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever have to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems that in many cases 1 of the aspects individuals often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest startup commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a good sense of airline flight and it was certainly a success.

Saratoga Springs logo design made use of for marketing and also a tag layout for Vintage Case features an old typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be older cases. For this custom logo design I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a website to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Saratoga Springs, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs because it seems that each and every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dentist logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a household nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters startled in height to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to summarize specifically how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that explains itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a hair style studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo which related a spirit of relaxation and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious path of designing merely a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a logo design which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is in most cases the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the importance on the emotion that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Logo design for a software program designer the style functions and also renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance behind a business logo is just as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

A logo style featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly understood the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to sell their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Saratoga Springs logo design dsign utilizing an illustration that garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo design has actually a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo design wasn’t actually created for an Saratoga Springs area farm it was actually developed for a commodities broker, and this particular trademark was one of a handful of which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to produce an identity that projected assurance, financial success, and opulence.
Logo made for the use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font style that is evocative a well-known sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed loads of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked closely with the owner to create a logo design that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
