Setauket-East Setauket Logo Design

Nearly every new Setauket-East Setauket venture understands that they require a logo, however few entrepreneurs thoroughly recognize the vital role their logo design can take in their success, or precisely why one logo design works more effectively than another. A logo design has a critical and lasting effect on the prosperity of a business, select the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Setauket-East Setauket businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require consideration, they can be understood in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will be legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bike created for a Setauket-East Setauket coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were launching in an old part of the town and wished to cast a retro atmosphere without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I achieved both jobs by creating a logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and also bacteria made for Setauket-East Setauket medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that investigates the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that deals with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I recall in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more appealing, more focus grabbing and much more memorable.

logo style with a jumping environment-friendly frog developed for a family members enjoyable facility in Setauket-East Setauket.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - created for Setauket-East Setauket travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather project emotional journeys by means of the images they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Setauket-East Setauket logo design but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Setauket-East Setauket logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but my client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get neutral assessments on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo design comprehend how important a logo design is for their company so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo job has it’s portion of difficulties, however the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Setauket-East Setauket book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most important part of a printed book because it is ordinarily the primary thing a person sees in the bookstore. Regarding a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will likely ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it looks like that in many cases 1 of the traits folks often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a good sense of air travel and it was undoubtedly a success.

Setauket-East Setauket logo design utilized for advertising and marketing and a label style for Vintage Case includes an old typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this business logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Setauket-East Setauket, design include an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo design jobs considering that it appears that almost every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dentist business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities surprised in height to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo style produced for a hair design workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo which carried an atmosphere of ease and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a design which did not go the obvious direction of creating simply a stylized orchid but instead created a logo design that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is in most cases the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the emphasis on the feeling that they wanted to project to their customers.

Arabian steed logo style developed for a steed cattle ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software application designer the design functions and legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism supporting a company logo is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

A logo style including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly understood the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to sell off their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Setauket-East Setauket business logo dsign utilizing an illustration that garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has actually a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem design wasn’t really produced for an Setauket-East Setauket area farm it was in reality devised for a products broker, and this particular business logo was one of several that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to make an identity that projects trust, success, and prosperity.
Logo created for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font style that is similar to a famous sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked directly with the business owner to create a logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
