Throgs Neck, New York Logo Design

Virtually every new Throgs Neck organization realizes that they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners fully understand the vital role their business logo can play in their financial success, or the reason that one business logo works more effectively than another. A business logo has a critical and lasting effect on the success of a business, go with the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of a company.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Throgs Neck, New York businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand consideration, they can be comprehended in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will be legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos which operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be lasting and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.
Retro logo layout of a bicycle developed for a Throgs Neck, New York coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening up in an older part the city and wished to impart a retro tone without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs through creating a business logo design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is an ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs made for Throgs Neck, New York clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that analyzes the causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of medicine that deals with the laboratory examination of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the only instance I recall where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more interest grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping green frog designed for a family enjoyable facility in Throgs Neck, New York.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - made for Throgs Neck, New York traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather convey emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they often share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with just words. I tried to do something the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Throgs Neck logo design but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Throgs Neck logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I genuinely take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however the customer, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his hatred for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced assessments on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to design their business logo recognize how crucial a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo job has it’s portion of difficulties, however the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Throgs Neck, New York book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow slice of real estate to work with, but it is the most necessary part of a published book considering that it is ordinarily the very first thing a person sees in the book store. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will ever get to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it seems that in many cases one of the items individuals tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a good sense of flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Throgs Neck logo layout used for advertising and marketing as well as a label design for Vintage Instance features an antiquated typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be vintage cases. For this custom logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could be used for everything from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another era.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Throgs Neck, New York, layout include an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo design jobs considering that it appears that virtually every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really love doing dental care logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in height to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to explain specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a hair design workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo which carried a sense of peace and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious path of creating simply a stylized orchid but rather crafted a company logo that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is frequently the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the attention on the feeling that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Logo layout for a software designer the style attributes and also iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the meaning behind a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

A logo style including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to market their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Throgs Neck business logo dsign using an image that garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo layout has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo design wasn’t really composed for an Throgs Neck, New York regional farm it was in reality designed for an investments broker, and this particular trademark was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to produce a image that projected self-assurance, effectiveness, and luxury.

Throgs Neck Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo style attribute for ostensibly encountering arrowhead as well as the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design that they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the opportunity to explore any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye in the absence of realizing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this instance, I hit a bullseye with the very first go.

Logo made for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is reminiscent of a popular sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked closely with the business owner to produce a business logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
