Valley Stream, New York Logo Design

Virtually every new Valley Stream business professional realizes that they need a logo, but few new business owners fully understand the essential role their business logo can make in their success, or why one logo design performs better than another. A logo has a critical and lasting impact on the growth of a company, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of an organization.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Valley Stream, New York companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand consideration, they can be comprehended in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from labels to billboards a scalable logo will remain legible and equally emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos which function on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be timeless and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.
Retro logo style of a bike produced for a Valley Stream, New York coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening up in an older part of the community and hoped to impart a nostalgic vibe without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs through developing a symbol concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is an ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and bacteria designed for Valley Stream, New York clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which investigates the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which deals with the laboratory evaluation of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I recall in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and a lot more meaningful.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog designed for a family fun center in Valley Stream, New York.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Valley Stream, New York traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather project emotional journeys by means of the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Valley Stream logo design but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Valley Stream logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I truly savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members didn’t share his hatred for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral opinions on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they adored the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their business logo understand how important a logo is for their organization so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design job possesses it’s portion of difficulties, however the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, design for Valley Stream, New York book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most important part of a published book due to the fact that it is often the first thing a person sees in the book store. With regard to a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever get to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it seems that in many cases 1 of the things people usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a feeling of air travel and it was surely a success.

Valley Stream logo layout utilized for advertising and marketing as well as a tag design for Vintage Case features an archaic font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be antique cases. For this business logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old style feel to it and could be used for every thing from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another era.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Valley Stream, New York, style consist of an arc with lines converging with it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most challenging logo projects because it seems that virtually every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really love doing dental care business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a household nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters staggered in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to illustrate specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair layout workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo that related a spirit of relaxation and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious route of designing just a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is generally the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the importance on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo layout for a software designer the layout functions and also legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance behind a logo is just as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

A logo design including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a location to market their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Valley Stream logo design dsign along with an image that seizes the attention of traffic and projects an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo style has actually a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo concept wasn’t really created for an Valley Stream, New York regional farm it was really designed for an investments broker, and this business logo was one of multiple which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to make an identity that projected self-assurance, success, and affluence.

Valley Stream Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo design feature for ostensibly dealing with arrow and also the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the flexibility to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye in the absence of recognizing where the target is. Luckily, in this instance, I nailed a bullseye with the first go.

Logo design created for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is reminiscent of a renowned sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked directly with the proprietor to produce a logo design which worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
