West Babylon Logo Design

Each and every new West Babylon organization realizes that they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely comprehend the key role their logo design will perform in their becoming successful, or precisely why one logo works far better than another. A logo design has an immediate and sustaining effect on the success of a business, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help West Babylon companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand contemplation, they can be realized in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will stay legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bicycle produced for a West Babylon coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening in an older part of the area and wanted to visualize a nostalgic feel without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs via creating a company logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and bacteria made for West Babylon clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which studies the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that deals with the clinical assessment of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents very literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more interesting, more attention grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog developed for a household enjoyable facility in West Babylon.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - created for West Babylon traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead project emotional experiences by means of the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  West Babylon logo but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

West Babylon logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I honestly savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family did not share his contempt for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to discuss it with colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get impartial point of views on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo design understand how important a logo is for their business so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo design job has it’s allotment of hurdles, however the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for West Babylon publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, however it really is the most critical part of a published book because it is usually the very first thing a person sees in the book shop. For a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will ever get to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it seems that in many cases one of the aspects individuals usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a spirit of flight and it was certainly a winner.

West Babylon logo style used for advertising and marketing as well as a tag design for Vintage Case features an antiquated font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be much older cases. For this logo design I sought to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in West Babylon, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most challenging logo design jobs due to the fact that it seems that every single dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental offices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually love doing dental care business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities startled in elevation to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to describe how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo design produced for a hair layout studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo which carried a spirit of serenity and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious direction of designing merely a stylized orchid but instead crafted a logo design that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is more often than not the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the emphasis on the emotion that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software developer the design features and also iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection in between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a logo design is just as important as how it serves the company it represents.

Evolve logo design developed for a West Babylon interior developer, layout feature a series of red circles that intersect and replace the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to sell off their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their West Babylon logo design dsign along with an image which garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has actually an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand idea wasn’t really designed for an West Babylon area farm it was in reality devised for a commodities broker, and this particular creative logo was one of many which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to design a image that projected confidence, success, and prosperity.
Logo created for using a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is evocative a well-known sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the business owner to design a business logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
