Woodhaven Logo Design

Virtually every new Woodhaven business understands that they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs thoroughly are aware of the essential role their business logo can make in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo design functions better than another. A logo design has an instant and sustaining impact on the success of a business, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Woodhaven companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require scrutiny, they can be grasped in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will stay legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Woodhaven coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were actually launching in an old section of the town and hoped to visualize a retro atmosphere without appearing as boring or low energy. I fulfilled the two tasks via developing a business logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs made for Woodhaven medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that works with the clinical evaluation of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I recall in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves rather literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and even more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog created for a household fun facility in Woodhaven.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental professionals, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - created for Woodhaven travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality because travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead reveal emotional journeys by means of the images they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Woodhaven logo but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Woodhaven logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I truly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however my client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members did not share his contempt for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage all of them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get impartial viewpoints on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they really loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their business logo recognize how essential a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the final result. Every logo job has it’s allotment of difficulties, however the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Woodhaven publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, however it is the most essential part of a published book due to the fact that it is usually the first thing a person views in the book store. Concerning a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will ever have to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it looks like that in many instances one of the things individuals usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a good sense of flight and it was certainly a success.

Woodhaven logo style made use of for advertising and also a label layout for Vintage Situation includes an antiquated font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be much older cases. For this custom logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Woodhaven, layout include an arc with lines converging through it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most challenging logo projects because it seems that each and every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental offices do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dentistry business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters surprised in height to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to summarize how people should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that explains itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo layout produced for a hair layout studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo that projected a spirit of peace and connection for their new hair salon. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious path of making just a stylized orchid but instead designed a logo which suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is oftentimes the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the emphasis on the emotion that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Arabian steed logo layout developed for a steed cattle ranch that specializes in reproducing Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a distinct company logo concept styled to embody the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of horses. By having an unique head form and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most quite easily identifiable equine lineages in the whole world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo design a little restaurant, style consists of a modified manuscript typeface which floats above a group of luxuriant lines and also dots.

Logo design for a software application designer the style attributes as well as renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a business logo is just as important as how it brands the company it represents.

Advance logo design developed for a Woodhaven interior designer, design function a collection of red circles that converge as well as change the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

A logo layout featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to market their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Woodhaven business logo dsign utilizing a graphic which garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo concept wasn’t really produced for an Woodhaven regional farm it was actually created for a products broker, and this particular company was one of many that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to create an identity that projected trust, effectiveness, and luxury.
Logo design designed for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is reminiscent of a famous sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked directly with the proprietor to produce a business logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
