Cornelius Logo Design

Nearly every new Cornelius venture knows they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners fully are aware of the pivotal role their organization logo will make in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo design functions far better than another. A business logo has an immediate and long term influence on the prosperity of a business, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Cornelius companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require scrutiny, they can be grasped in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will stay legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Cornelius coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were launching in an older part of the community and hoped to cast a nostalgic tone without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished both tasks via creating a company logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and germs developed for Cornelius medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that studies the root causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of medicine that works with the clinical examination of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recollect in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Generally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more appealing, more attention grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo style with a jumping green frog created for a family members enjoyable center in Cornelius.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Cornelius travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather project emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with just words. I made an effort to do something comparable to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Cornelius logo design but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Cornelius logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design jobs that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but the client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his scorn for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage all of them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced point of views on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their business logo recognize how vital a logo design is for their business so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo design job has it’s portion of hurdles, but the greatest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Cornelius book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, yet it is the most important part of a published book given that it is often the primary thing a person views in the bookstore. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will ever get to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it seems like that in many cases 1 of the items consumers tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a feeling of air travel and it was definitely a success.

Cornelius logo design made use of for advertising and marketing and also a label layout for Vintage Instance features an antiquated font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, that looked to be antique cases. For this logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Cornelius, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo jobs considering that it seems that virtually every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really love doing dentistry logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family members nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters startled in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to explain how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that describes itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo layout developed for a hair layout workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a company logo which projected a spirit of ease and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious path of making just a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a logo design which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is more often than not the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the importance on the feeling that they wanted to project to their clients.

Logo layout for a software program programmer the design attributes and also famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive managing. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the substance behind a logo is just as important as how it serves the company it represents.

Advance logo design created for a Cornelius interior developer, style feature a series of red circles that intersect and replace the letter O in the center of the logo design.

A logo style including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to market their previously owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Cornelius business logo dsign utilizing an image which captures the interest of vehicles and sends an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo idea wasn’t really designed for an Cornelius area farm it was really developed for a commodities broker, and this particular brand was one of several that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to create a brand mark that projected confidence, effectiveness, and wealth.
Logo made for making use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font style that is reminiscent of a well-known sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked closely with the owner to create a logo design which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
