Henderson Logo Design

Virtually every new Henderson organization realizes that they are in need of a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely realize the key role their company logo will make in their financial success, or precisely why one logo design works more effectively than another. A business logo has a critical and long term impact on the success of a company, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Henderson companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require scrutiny, they can be realized in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will remain legible and equally emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bike created for a Henderson coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening in an old section of the area and really wanted to cast a retro atmosphere without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved the two jobs by developing a symbol design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria created for Henderson clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that examines the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which works with the clinical examination of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the sole instance I recall in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Typically I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more focus grabbing and more memorable.

logo style with a leaping eco-friendly frog made for a family members fun facility in Henderson.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Henderson traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead communicate emotional journeys through the images they record. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Henderson logo but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Henderson logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however the client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his scorn for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced judgements on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their business logo recognize how essential a logo design is for their business so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo project possesses it’s allotment of obstacles, however the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Henderson publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, however it really is the most vital part of a published book because it is often the primary thing a person views in the book store. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever have to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it seems like that in many cases one of the aspects folks often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a feeling of air travel and it was definitely a success.

Henderson logo style utilized for marketing and a label design for Vintage Instance includes an old font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be much older cases. For this brand design I strove to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be used for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different generation.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Henderson, design consist of an arc with lines converging through it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects considering that it seems that almost every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really enjoy doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities surprised in elevation to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair design studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a company logo which projected a sense of contentment and class for their new hair salon. I created a concept that did not go the obvious path of making simply a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo that implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is oftentimes the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the focus on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software program designer the design features and also legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the substance supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

A logo design including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a place to sell their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Henderson business logo dsign with an image which garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has actually a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t really produced for an Henderson area farm it was actually created for a commodities broker, and this particular company logo was one of a handful of that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to generate an identity that projected confidence, financial success, and prosperity.
Logo design created for making use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is reminiscent of a popular sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to develop a logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
