Laurinburg Logo Design

Nearly every new Laurinburg business understands that they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly realize the pivotal role their organization logo can perform in their financial success, or precisely why one logo performs more effectively than another. A logo has an instant and lasting effect on the financial success of a business, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Laurinburg companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand contemplation, they can be understood in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle created for a Laurinburg coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening in an old part of the town and really wanted to visualize a retro vibe without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled both jobs by means of designing a logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria created for Laurinburg medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that examines the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which deals with the laboratory assessment of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I recall in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping green frog developed for a family enjoyable center in Laurinburg.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - designed for Laurinburg travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead reveal emotional experiences through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they frequently convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Laurinburg logo but also to illustrate the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Laurinburg logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design projects that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family did not share his hatred for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get neutral point of views on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their logo realize how important a logo is for their business so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo design job has it’s allotment of hurdles, however the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Laurinburg book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, however it is the most necessary part of a printed book due to the fact that it is ordinarily the first thing a person views in the book store. For a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever have to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it seems that in many occurrences one of the aspects people tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a sense of flight and it was definitely a success.

Laurinburg logo style utilized for marketing as well as a tag style for Vintage Situation includes an old font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for music instruments, which looked to be much older cases. For this custom logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be used for anything from a website to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Laurinburg, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects because it seems that almost every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really enjoy doing dentist business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a household not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters startled in elevation to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to illustrate exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo style produced for a hair style studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a company logo that communicated a feeling of serenity and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a design which did not go the obvious path of creating merely a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a logo design which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is in most cases the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the main focus on the perception that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Arabian horse logo design developed for a horse ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted a distinct company logo concept fashioned to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of equines. With an identifiable head shape and very high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most immediately identifiable horse lineages in the entire world.

Las Coffee shop logo design a tiny restaurant, style contains a modified script font which floats over a team of luxuriant lines as well as dots.

Logo style for a software programmer the layout attributes as well as renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a logo design is equally as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

A logo style featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly understood the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to sell off their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Laurinburg logo design dsign using a graphic that pulls in the attention of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo design has an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t really composed for an Laurinburg regional farm it was really devised for a commodities broker, and this creative logo was one of a handful of that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to design a brand mark that projected esteem, financial success, and affluence.
Logo made for making use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a renowned sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed quite a lot of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked directly with the owner to create a logo design which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
