Roanoke Rapids Logo Design

Every new Roanoke Rapids business understands that they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely comprehend the vital role their logo can make in their financial success, or the reason that one logo design functions better than another. A company logo has an immediate and long-term impact on the financial success of a company, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Roanoke Rapids businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require scrutiny, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will remain legible and equally emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Roanoke Rapids coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were opening up in an old section of the area and wished to visualize a nostalgic tone without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled both of these jobs via developing a custom logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and germs created for Roanoke Rapids clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that researches the causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which works with the clinical assessment of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I recollect in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more appealing, more focus grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping environment-friendly frog created for a household enjoyable center in Roanoke Rapids.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and a tree - designed for Roanoke Rapids travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather communicate emotional experiences through the images they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they frequently convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I tried to do something similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Roanoke Rapids logo but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Roanoke Rapids logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design projects that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get honest judgements on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo design understand how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo design project possesses it’s portion of hurdles, however the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Roanoke Rapids book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped piece of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most essential part of a published book because it is in most cases the first thing a person sees in the bookstore. With respect to a publisher, it’s the opportunity that they will ever get to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it seems like that in many occurrences 1 of the things consumers often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest start-up commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a good sense of air travel and it was certainly a winner.

Roanoke Rapids logo layout made use of for marketing as well as a label layout for Vintage Situation includes an antiquated typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for music instruments, which looked to be older cases. For this brand concept I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for everything from a website to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Roanoke Rapids, design include an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo jobs because it seems that virtually every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really love doing dentistry business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family members nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters surprised in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to illustrate specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that describes itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo layout created for a hair design studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo design that carried a sense of contentment and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious path of creating simply a stylized orchid but rather delivered a logo that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is usually the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the importance on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Arabian horse logo layout created for a steed cattle ranch that specializes in reproducing Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software application developer the style attributes and also renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive managing. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the significance supporting a logo is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

A logo style including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly understood the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to sell off their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Roanoke Rapids logo design dsign with an image that seizes the attention of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t actually developed for an Roanoke Rapids regional farm it was actually designed for a products broker, and this particular brand was one of several that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to generate a image that projected assurance, financial success, and luxury.
Logo design developed for using a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a well-known sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to create a business logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
