Sanford Logo Design

Virtually every new Sanford organization understands that they need a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly understand the pivotal role their business logo will play in their financial success, or precisely why one business logo performs more effectively than another. A logo design has an instant and sustaining impact on the success of a business, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Sanford businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require contemplation, they can be understood in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will be legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a Sanford coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening up in an old part of town and wished to visualize an old-fashioned vibe without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks by means of designing a business logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and germs developed for Sanford medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that works with the laboratory examination of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I remember in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Typically I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more interest grabbing and a lot more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping green frog created for a family members enjoyable facility in Sanford.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental professionals, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Sanford traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but rather communicate emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they often tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Sanford logo design but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Sanford logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design jobs that I take on I seriously savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but the client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man seriously hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his scorn for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to share it with friends and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get honest opinions on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo realize how vital a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design job possesses it’s allotment of challenges, however the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Sanford book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, but it really is the most important part of a printed book since it is in most cases the primary thing a person views in the book store. Regarding a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems that in many instances 1 of the traits consumers often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a sense of airline flight and it was certainly a victory.

Sanford logo design used for advertising and marketing and also a label design for Vintage Case features an archaic font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Sanford, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs because it seems that every single dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental offices do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dentistry logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a household not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 characters staggered in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to summarize exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a hair layout workshop including a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo that related a sense of relaxation and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious course of creating merely a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a logo design that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is oftentimes the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the importance on the emotion that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed a one-of-a-kind logotype concept fashioned to exemplify the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of horses. With an unique head shape and very high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most quite easily identifiable horse lineages in the whole world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo layout a little restaurant, design consists of a customized manuscript font which floats over a team of elaborate lines and also dots.

Logo style for a software developer the style features and also iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive operations. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a logo is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

Develop logo style developed for a Sanford interior developer, layout function a series of red circles that intersect and replace the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

logo style provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions, the personalities for letter V as well as A in middle of the word progressed have actually been modified to connect directly right into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Sanford logo design job was carried out for a management coach that enables business professionals to become more successful at managing people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to sell their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Sanford business logo dsign using an image that garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo concept wasn’t really developed for an Sanford regional farm it was actually developed for a products broker, and this particular company was one of many that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to create a image that projects trust, success, and wealth.
Logo design made for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is similar to a renowned sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed loads of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the business owner to design a business logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
