Williston Logo Design

Virtually every new Williston organization realizes that they require a logo, but few new business owners fully recognize the key role their organization logo will perform in their financial success, or exactly why one logo functions better than another. A business logo has an instant and lasting impact on the prosperity of a business, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Williston businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require consideration, they can be comprehended in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will be legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Williston coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening up in an old part of town and really wanted to visualize a nostalgic vibe without appearing as boring or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs by means of creating a business logo design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and germs designed for Williston medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that investigates the triggers and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare which deals with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recollect where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and even more memorable.

logo style with a jumping green frog designed for a family members fun center in Williston.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Williston traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather communicate emotional journeys by means of the images they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they often convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Williston logo design but also to reveal the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Williston logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however my client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his hatred for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral viewpoints on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo design realize how crucial a logo is for their company so they are way more invested in the end result. Every logo job has it’s allotment of challenges, but the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for Williston book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, but it is the most critical part of a printed book given that it is often the very first thing a person sees in the book store. With regard to a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will ever have to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it seems like that in many cases 1 of the items individuals usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a good sense of air travel and it was definitely a success.

Williston logo design used for marketing and a tag layout for Vintage Situation includes an antiquated font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be vintage cases. For this brand concept I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be used for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Williston, layout include an arc with lines converging via it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo design projects because it appears that virtually every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dentist business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a household nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain how people should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that explains itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo design that related a feeling of simplicity and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious route of creating merely a stylized orchid but instead crafted a logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is more often than not the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the attention on the perception that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Logo layout for a software application developer the style attributes and also iconic component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the owner of the company and in many cases the meaning supporting a logo is just as important as how it serves the enterprise it stands for.

A logo style featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly recognized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to sell off their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Williston business logo dsign along with a graphic which grabs the attention of vehicles and sends an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo design has an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t really composed for an Williston area farm it was actually developed for a commodities broker, and this particular logo design was one of many which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to produce a graphic that projected self-confidence, financial success, and prosperity.
Logo designed for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is similar to a popular sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted dozens of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked closely with the business owner to develop a business logo which worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
