Ohio Logo Design

Nearly every new Ohio  business realizes that they are in need of a logo, however few new business owners thoroughly understand the essential role their business logo can play in their success, or the reason that one logo design performs more effectively than another. A company logo has a critical and lasting effect on the financial success of a business, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of a company.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Ohio companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand consideration, they can be understood in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Ohio coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were actually launching in an old section of the community and really wanted to project a nostalgic vibe without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled both jobs by designing a custom logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria made for Ohio medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that deals with the clinical examination of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I remember in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves quite literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping environment-friendly frog designed for a household enjoyable center in Ohio.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - developed for Ohio traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead communicate emotional journeys through the images they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with mere words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Ohio  logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Ohio logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I really relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage all of them to share it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get neutral assessments on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they really loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo design understand how essential a logo is for their company so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo job possesses it’s share of obstacles, but the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Ohio book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most important part of a published book because it is in most cases the first thing a person views in the book shop. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it seems like that in many cases 1 of the things individuals often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest fledgling commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a feeling of flight and it was surely a success.

Ohio logo style utilized for marketing as well as a label style for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for music instruments, that looked to be antique cases. For this brand design I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Ohio, layout consist of an arc with lines converging with it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo projects due to the fact that it seems that every single dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dentists do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really really love doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a household nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities staggered in height to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style created for a hair layout studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo that related a feeling of calmness and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a design which did not go the obvious path of designing just a stylized orchid but instead created a company logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is usually the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the focus on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their clients.

Arabian horse logo layout developed for a steed cattle ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a one-of-a-kind organization logo concept tailored to epitomize the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of horses. With an unique head form and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most immediately recognizable equine lineages in the whole world.

Las Coffee shop logo design a little restaurant, style contains a changed script typeface which hovers above a group of elaborate lines and also dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo style a tiny restaurant, style consists of a modified script font which floats over a group of ornate lines as well as dots.

Logo layout for a software developer the design features as well as famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive operations. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it represented something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism behind a logo design is just as important as how it serves the company it represents.

Progress logo design created for a Ohio interior developer, design attribute a collection of red circles that converge and also change the letter O in the center of the logo design.

logo style done for Advanced Management Solutions, the personalities for letter V and A in center of the word advanced have actually been customized to link straight right into the words below.

This Ohio logo design project was done for a leadership advisor that aids business leaders to develop into more efficient at overseeing people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo design featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly understood the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to sell off their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts.

I created their Ohio business logo design with an image which garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.

Logo layout MQ farms, this logo design has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo idea wasn’t actually developed for an Ohio  farm it was really developed for a products broker, and this creative logo was one of many that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to develop an identity that projects confidence, success, and opulence.

Ohio Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo style attribute for outwardly encountering arrow as well as the arrowheads indicate that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design they would like, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the flexibility to delve into any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye without understanding where the target is. Luckily, in this particular case, I hit a bullseye with the very first go.

Logo developed for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is evocative a popular sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked closely with the owner to create a business logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
