Avon, Ohio Logo Design

Each and every new Avon business person knows they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs entirely comprehend the key role their company logo can make in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo works far better than another. A logo has an immediate and sustaining impact on the success of a company, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of an organization.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Avon, Ohio companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require deliberation, they can be comprehended in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from labels to signboards a scalable business logo will be legible and equally emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos which work on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be ageless and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.
Retro logo design of a bike produced for a Avon, Ohio coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening up in an older part of town and wished to visualize an old-fashioned atmosphere without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved the two tasks by creating a symbol concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria developed for Avon, Ohio medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare which works with the clinical evaluation of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I remember in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents rather literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more appealing, more interest grabbing and a lot more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog developed for a household fun center in Avon, Ohio.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more dynamic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and also a tree - created for Avon, Ohio travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead reveal emotional journeys through the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they frequently tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Avon logo design but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Avon logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design projects that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but the client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his hatred for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced assessments on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they really liked the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their logo design realize how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo project has it’s share of obstacles, but the greatest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Avon, Ohio publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most important part of a published book considering that it is in most cases the very first thing a person views in the book store. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will likely ever have to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart yet it looks like that in many occurrences one of the aspects individuals tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a good sense of airline flight and it was certainly a success.

Avon logo layout utilized for marketing and a tag style for Vintage Instance features an old-fashioned typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be antique cases. For this brand concept I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Avon, Ohio, layout include an arc with lines converging through it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs due to the fact that it appears that almost every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dental care logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters surprised in height to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair style workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo that carried a feeling of relaxation and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a concept which did not go the obvious path of crafting merely a stylized orchid but instead designed a logo design which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is generally the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the main focus on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their clients.

Arabian steed logo design developed for an equine cattle ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Cafe logo style a little dining establishment, design consists of a modified manuscript font which floats over a group of elaborate lines and dots.

Logo layout for a software designer the design features and iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism behind a logo design is just as important as how it brands the company it represents.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to sell their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Avon logo design dsign along with an image that captures the interest of traffic and sends an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem concept wasn’t really developed for an Avon, Ohio area farm it was in reality created for an investments broker, and this logo design was one of multiple that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to make a brand mark that projected assurance, success, and wealth.

Avon Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo design feature for outwardly facing arrow as well as the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the freedom to explore any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye in the absence of understanding where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this case, I hit a bullseye with the first try.

Logo design designed for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is reminiscent of a famous sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked directly with the business owner to create a logo that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
