Delaware Logo Design

Virtually every new Delaware company realizes that they need a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly comprehend the crucial role their logo design will take in their financial success, or why one logo works more effectively than another. A company logo has an instant and long-term impact on the prosperity of a company, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Delaware businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require deliberation, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Delaware coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening in an older section of the town and really wanted to cast a nostalgic tone without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs by means of designing a logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide as well as bacteria designed for Delaware clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that investigates the root causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the clinical evaluation of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more focus grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog created for a household fun facility in Delaware.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Delaware traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather convey emotional journeys through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they frequently convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something very similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Delaware logo design but also to show the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Delaware logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however the client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family did not share his aversion for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get neutral opinions on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their logo understand how essential a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo design project has it’s portion of difficulties, but the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Delaware book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, however it really is the most necessary part of a published book given that it is in most cases the initial thing a person sees in the book shop. With respect to a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever have to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go nevertheless it seems that in many instances 1 of the things people tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a good sense of airline flight and it was certainly a winner.

Delaware logo style used for advertising and marketing and a label design for Vintage Instance features an antiquated font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be much older cases. For this logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different era.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Delaware, layout consist of an arc with lines converging via it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo design projects considering that it seems that virtually every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really love doing dental care logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities staggered in height to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to summarize how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair layout workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo that conveyed a sense of peace and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious direction of making just a stylized orchid but instead designed a company logo that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is generally the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the importance on the emotion that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Arabian horse logo design developed for an equine ranch that specializes in reproducing Arabian program horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Coffee shop logo design a tiny dining establishment, layout contains a customized script font which hovers over a group of elaborate lines and dots.

Logo design for a software program programmer the style features and also legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive managing. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a business logo is just as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to sell off their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Delaware logo dsign using an image that grabs the interest of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo layout has a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t really created for an Delaware area farm it was in reality created for an investments broker, and this particular company logo was one of multiple that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to make a graphic that projected esteem, success, and prosperity.
Logo developed for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font style that is similar to a famous sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked closely with the owner to design a logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
