Gahanna Logo Design

Every new Gahanna venture knows they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners entirely comprehend the pivotal role their business logo can take in their success, or precisely why one business logo performs far better than another. A logo has an immediate and long term impact on the financial success of a business, choose the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Gahanna companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand consideration, they can be grasped in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will be legible and equally emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo style of a bicycle created for a Gahanna coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening up in an old part of town and wanted to visualize an old-fashioned atmosphere without coming across as boring or low energy. I fulfilled the two tasks by means of designing a company logo design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as germs designed for Gahanna medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that researches the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that deals with the laboratory assessment of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the only instance I remember where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more captivating, more focus grabbing and more memorable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog designed for a household enjoyable center in Gahanna.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - developed for Gahanna travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather communicate emotional experiences by means of the images they record. The thought behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with mere words. I made an effort to do something comparable to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Gahanna logo design but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Gahanna logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design jobs that I take on I truly savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but my client, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to discuss it with friends and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced opinions on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they really liked the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logo designs are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo design comprehend how vital a logo is for their company so they are way more invested in the outcome. Every logo project has it’s allotment of difficulties, but the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for Gahanna book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most crucial part of a published book since it is usually the primary thing a person views in the book shop. For a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will ever get to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it seems that in many cases 1 of the things consumers often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a sense of flight and it was surely a success.

Gahanna logo design utilized for marketing as well as a tag design for Vintage Instance features an archaic font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be vintage cases. For this custom logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be utilized for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Gahanna, design include an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most challenging logo projects because it seems that every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dentists do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dental care logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a household nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities surprised in height to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to explain specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design which conveyed a sense of contentment and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious route of designing just a stylized orchid but rather created a business logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is usually the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the main focus on the emotion that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Arabian steed logo design developed for a steed cattle ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a one-of-a-kind business logo concept fashioned to display the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of horses. With a different head form and very high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the very most immediately identifiable horse lineages in the entire world.

Logo layout for a software program programmer the style attributes as well as famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the owner of the business and in many cases the significance behind a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the business it represents.

Progress logo style produced for a Gahanna indoor designer, design attribute a series of red circles that converge as well as replace the letter O in the center of the logo design.

A logo style featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to market their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Gahanna logo dsign utilizing an illustration which seizes the attention of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo design wasn’t actually designed for an Gahanna area farm it was in reality developed for an investments broker, and this logo was one of several which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to make a graphic that projects self-confidence, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo made for making use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a well-known sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked directly with the proprietor to design a logo design which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
