Gahanna, Ohio Logo Design

Each and every new Gahanna organization realizes that they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs fully grasp the pivotal role their business logo can perform in their financial success, or the reason that one logo works more effectively than another. A logo design has an instant and long-term impact on the financial success of a company, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of a business.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Gahanna, Ohio companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand contemplation, they can be grasped in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bicycle produced for a Gahanna, Ohio coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening in an older section of the city and wished to project an old-fashioned tone without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled the two jobs by designing a company logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide as well as bacteria made for Gahanna, Ohio clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which studies the root causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the laboratory evaluation of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I remember where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and even more memorable.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a household fun facility in Gahanna, Ohio.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - designed for Gahanna, Ohio traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead communicate emotional journeys by means of the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they often share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Gahanna logo design but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Gahanna logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design jobs that I take on I truly savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but my client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his aversion for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage all of them to share it with friends and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral judgements on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to design their business logo understand how vital a logo is for their business so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design project possesses it’s allotment of difficulties, however the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, style for Gahanna, Ohio publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most necessary part of a printed book due to the fact that it is often the very first thing a person sees in the bookstore. With regard to a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it seems like that in many instances 1 of the aspects folks usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to confering a spirit of flight and it was certainly a winner.

Gahanna logo style used for advertising and marketing as well as a label layout for Vintage Case features an old font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be antique cases. For this custom logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Gahanna, Ohio, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects because it appears that each and every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dentist logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities staggered in elevation to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to explain how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair layout studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo that carried an atmosphere of ease and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious path of designing just a stylized orchid but instead crafted a company logo which suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is oftentimes the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the attention on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their customers.

Logo design for a software application designer the design attributes and also iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the meaning behind a logo is just as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

A logo layout including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a location to market their used items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Gahanna business logo dsign using an illustration that garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo layout has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t actually developed for an Gahanna, Ohio area farm it was actually devised for a commodities broker, and this logo design was one of a handful of that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to design a image that projected esteem, effectiveness, and affluence.

Gahanna Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo layout function for outwardly dealing with arrow as well as the arrowheads imply that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design that they would like, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the liberty to discover any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye in the absence of understanding where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this case, I nailed a bullseye with the first try.

Logo design made for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is evocative a famous sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed loads of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked closely with the owner to design a logo which worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
