Glenville Logo Design

Virtually every new Glenville venture realizes that they need a logo, however few new business owners entirely recognize the essential role their logo will play in their financial success, or why one business logo functions far better than another. A business logo has an immediate and lasting impact on the success of a company, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Glenville businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand deliberation, they can be comprehended in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will stay legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bike created for a Glenville coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening up in an old section of town and wanted to project a vintage vibe without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled the two jobs via creating a trademark concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and germs designed for Glenville medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which investigates the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the clinical evaluation of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I remember where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more appealing, more attention grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping green frog made for a family members enjoyable facility in Glenville.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Glenville traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession because travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but rather project emotional experiences by means of the photos they record. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Glenville logo but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Glenville logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design projects that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however the client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his hatred for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to discuss it with friends and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get objective assessments on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a strange animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo recognize how crucial a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the outcome. Every logo project has it’s allotment of hurdles, but the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Glenville book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most important part of a printed book given that it is in most cases the initial thing a person sees in the book shop. Concerning a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever get to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart nevertheless it looks like that in many instances one of the things people usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a sense of airline flight and it was definitely a victory.

Glenville logo layout made use of for marketing and a tag layout for Vintage Case features an old font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be antique cases. For this business logo design I tried to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Glenville, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that virtually every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to explain specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair layout studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo which communicated a sense of ease and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which didn’t go the obvious path of crafting merely a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a logo design which implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is frequently the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the emphasis on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo layout for a software program developer the style functions as well as legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the owner of the company and in many cases the significance supporting a logo design is just as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

A logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly recognized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to sell off their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Glenville logo dsign utilizing an illustration which garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo design has an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo concept wasn’t actually composed for an Glenville area farm it was actually developed for a products broker, and this particular company logo was one of several which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to make an identity that projected esteem, effectiveness, and wealth.
Logo design made for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is similar to a well-known sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked directly with the proprietor to create a logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
