Hudson, Ohio Logo Design

Each and every new Hudson venture realizes that they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs are thoroughly aware of the crucial role their logo will take in their becoming successful, or why one business logo works far better than another. A logo design has a critical and long-term influence on the financial success of a company, select the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a business.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Hudson, Ohio companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand consideration, they can be comprehended in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will be legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a Hudson, Ohio coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were actually launching in an old section of the town and hoped to project a vintage tone without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished both jobs via creating a company logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and germs developed for Hudson, Ohio medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which researches the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which deals with the clinical evaluation of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I remember where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Typically I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping green frog made for a family members enjoyable facility in Hudson, Ohio.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - created for Hudson, Ohio travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead communicate emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with just words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Hudson logo design but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Hudson logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but the client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family did not share his scorn for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased point of views on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo design realize how crucial a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo design job has it’s allotment of obstacles, however the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Hudson, Ohio book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, yet it is the most critical part of a printed book due to the fact that it is in most cases the very first thing a person sees in the bookstore. With respect to a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will ever get to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it seems like that in many instances one of the items people tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest startup commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a sense of airline flight and it was certainly a victory.

Hudson logo style made use of for advertising and also a tag design for Vintage Instance features an archaic font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be older cases. For this business logo design I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid vintage feel to it and could be used for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Hudson, Ohio, design include an arc with lines converging with it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo jobs because it appears that virtually every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually love doing dentistry logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a household not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities surprised in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design developed for a hair layout workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design that conveyed a spirit of contentment and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a design which did not go the obvious course of making just a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo design which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is usually the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the main focus on the feeling that they wanted to project to their customers.

Arabian horse logo layout created for an equine cattle ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted an original logo concept styled to exemplify the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of equines. By having a different head shape and high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the highly immediately identifiable horse lineages in the entire world.

Las Coffee shop logo design a small restaurant, style consists of a customized script font which hovers over a group of elaborate lines and dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo design a small restaurant, design contains a modified script font style which floats above a group of elaborate lines and also dots.

Logo layout for a software application programmer the style features as well as legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a business logo is just as important as how it serves the enterprise it stands for.

Progress logo design developed for a Hudson, Ohio indoor developer, style attribute a series of red circles that intersect and also replace the letter O in the center of the logo style.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

A logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly understood the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to sell their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Hudson logo dsign along with a graphic that grabs the attention of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has actually an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t really designed for an Hudson, Ohio regional farm it was actually devised for a products broker, and this particular logo was one of a handful of that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to develop a brand mark that projects assurance, financial success, and wealth.

Hudson Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo layout function for outwardly encountering arrowhead and also the arrowheads indicate that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design they would like, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the freedom to explore any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without realizing where the target is. Luckily, in this particular case, I struck a bullseye with the very first go.

Logo made for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font that is evocative a renowned sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed loads of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the business owner to produce a logo design which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
