Lebanon Logo Design

Virtually every new Lebanon company realizes that they require a logo, however few entrepreneurs thoroughly are aware of the pivotal role their business logo will play in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo design works more effectively than another. A business logo has an instant and sustaining impact on the prosperity of a business, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Lebanon businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require consideration, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will stay legible and just as emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Lebanon coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were actually launching in an older section of the area and really wanted to cast a vintage atmosphere without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks by means of creating a business logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs made for Lebanon clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which studies the triggers and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of medicine that works with the laboratory evaluation of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recall where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more captivating, more focus grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping green frog created for a family members fun center in Lebanon.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Lebanon traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead communicate emotional journeys by means of the pictures they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they often tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Lebanon logo but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Lebanon logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but the customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his scorn for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get honest opinions on the value of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logo designs are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to create their business logo comprehend how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo job possesses it’s share of challenges, however the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Lebanon publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped slice of real estate to work with, however it is the most crucial part of a printed book since it is often the first thing a person views in the bookstore. For a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will ever get to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it looks like that in many instances one of the items people usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young start-up commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a sense of flight and it was certainly a winner.

Lebanon logo layout made use of for advertising and marketing and also a label design for Vintage Instance features an archaic font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be much older cases. For this brand design I sought to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could be used for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Lebanon, layout consist of an arc with lines converging with it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo design projects because it appears that every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually love doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a household not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to summarize precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that describes itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo style produced for a hair design studio including a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo design that projected an atmosphere of simplicity and connection for their new hair studio. I created a design that did not go the obvious route of creating simply a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is frequently the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the importance on the emotion that they really wanted to forecast to their clients.

Logo style for a software program developer the style functions and also iconic component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance behind a company logo is just as important as how it serves the company it represents.

Evolve logo style developed for a Lebanon interior designer, style function a collection of red circles that intersect and also replace the letter O in the middle of the logo design.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to sell off their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Lebanon business logo dsign with an illustration which garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo design wasn’t really produced for an Lebanon area farm it was actually developed for a commodities broker, and this particular logo was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to develop a image that projected self-confidence, financial success, and opulence.
Logo developed for the use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is evocative a well-known sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked closely with the proprietor to produce a business logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
