Oregon Logo Design

Every new Oregon venture knows they are in need of a logo, however few new business owners fully are aware of the vital role their company logo can make in their financial success, or exactly why one logo design works better than another. A logo has an immediate and long term effect on the financial success of a business, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Oregon companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require contemplation, they can be grasped in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle created for a Oregon coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were opening up in an old section of the town and wanted to visualize a nostalgic vibe without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished both of these tasks via creating a logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and germs created for Oregon medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which investigates the root causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which deals with the laboratory examination of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recall in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more interesting, more attention grabbing and much more memorable.

logo design with a jumping green frog created for a family enjoyable facility in Oregon.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Oregon traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead communicate emotional experiences through the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they often tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Oregon logo design but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Oregon logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design jobs that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however the client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his scorn for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get impartial point of views on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their business logo recognize how crucial a logo is for their business so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo design project possesses it’s portion of challenges, however the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for Oregon book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most vital part of a printed book considering that it is in most cases the first thing a person views in the book shop. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will ever have to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it seems like that in many cases one of the aspects folks usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young start-up commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a feeling of flight and it was definitely a success.

Oregon logo design made use of for advertising and marketing and also a label layout for Vintage Situation features an archaic typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this business logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different generation.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Oregon, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects because it seems that every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dentist logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters startled in height to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to describe exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo that conveyed a spirit of calmness and class for their new hair studio. I created a concept which did not go the obvious course of creating simply a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a company logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is in most cases the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the focus on the feeling that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Logo design for a software designer the layout functions as well as iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the meaning supporting a business logo is just as important as how it brands the business it represents.

Evolve logo layout developed for a Oregon interior designer, style feature a collection of red circles that converge and also change the letter O in the middle of the logo style.

A logo layout including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to market their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Oregon logo dsign with a graphic that garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo design has an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo design wasn’t actually designed for an Oregon regional farm it was in reality created for a commodities broker, and this particular brand was one of multiple which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to make a brand mark that projects self-assurance, success, and wealth.
Logo design designed for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font that is reminiscent of a famous sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked directly with the proprietor to develop a logo design that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
